CTOS, Experion and other such companies are the norm around the world, and a simple court ruling isn't going to change that trend. The judge was being too clever with his ruling, it will be overturned in the Appeals court. The judge also did a disservice to the lady suing CTOS, both parties could've ended the saga there and CTOS would just Appeal as a formality, but now CTOS will have to fight tooth and nail to get the ruling overturned because the judge did not keep his personal feelings to himself.

Don't need to read the law on credit info we also know that this law was meant to setup companies like CTOS to dish out credit scoring la. As i've said, this judge was trying to be funny by interpreting it word for word, and thiscredit scoring thing something common around the world. Without such credit scoring institutions, banks will be operating very inefficiently, each bank will have a different scoring method and that will lead to weaker credit control because each bank will keep lowering their criteria to approve loans and will snowball into the infamous Sub-Prime loan scenario of 2008.

The judge's family member might've been rejected by CTOS before! Lol! People need to look themselves in the mirror, most times those that get rejected by banks have spotted financial history already, so don't act so innocent. Many after knowing their reputation with the financial institutions are tarnished, instead of rebuilding their credit score, they choose to continue with their stubborn ways.

Go to hell la Zaid, understand the local socio-economics? The reason banks, even your so-called Islamic banks, racially profile the Malays and put high barriers for them to overcome because they have "socio-economically" tendencies for not servicing their loans. So you can't blame the banks, non-bumi malaysians, and CTOS for your "socio-economic" failings.

Analisa yg bodoh. Bukannya D&O yg berperang harga, dlm situasi begini, supplier lah yg untung sbb pengilang perlu pam volume lagi tinggi utk turunkan kos mereka. Kekadang kena hati2 baca report percuma fund2 nih, report diorg bertalam dua muka, utk awam satu cerita dongeng, utk pelabur VVIP mereka report yg cun.

haziqaz, kurangkan baca media dongeng. Kes CTOS kalah nih sgt terperinci, kebanyakan individu yg kena reject dgn bank nih mmg ada masalah kewangan je.

Oh and the point of sharing my experience is that CTOS is basically a copy of what other countries have, it is meant to exist by the encouragement of the government and banking sector. So the judge can make whatever judgement he wants, the Appeals is going to overturn in the best interest of the nation.

I can share my own experience using CTOS to whip my company's debtors into paying on a timely matter. Malaysian businesses are famous for not paying , but since the introduction of CTOS, we just report them in CTOS system and like magic tomorrow they'll call to beg us to remove the report. Why they desperate? Because whatever loans they taking with bank(s) will be stopped and the banks will tell them to settle this report first. My company have retrieved hundreds of thousands from such bad debtors. Another benefit of CTOS for companies is that if i report this client to CTOS, all the other suppliers of this client will also receive a report mentioning they have been "CTOS-ed". Sometimes my AR department will get notified by Astro, Maxis, TM, TNB, etc etc of companies not paying their bills. LOL! So Yes, we AR (Accounts Receivable department) LoVe~ CTOS, and so do our Bosses! LOL!

Logically speaking, institutions will still invest in CTOS, you can talk until the cows come home and their support will still be there. Institutional investors would've known of this ongoing lawsuit and didn't affect their decision to invest more into CTOS, the sell off today is from shortsellers who are taking advantage of the negative ruling by the judge.

Thanks to the short sellers, got opportunity to buy at basement price! LOL!

The judge also not an industry expert, his ruling that CTOS cannot create its own credit rating will be overturned in the appeals court because this is the norm of credit data agencies to unlock value through innovative use of the data. If all credit data agencies were to just act as depositories then big data will fail all over the world. Furthermore, this ruling if allowed to stand will be detrimental to our data analysis industry because it ties everyone's hands to only looking at data but cannot say anything. This judge should have had an expert witness or practice some restraint in his ruling.

500K SQFT with estimated RM1.2mil/month revenue. Shah Alam warehouse rental per sqft is RM2.00+/-, so with the given input, Swift is renting it out at RM2.40/sqft, but by arm's length rental from its associate company, it would be somewhere in the ballpark of RM2.00/sqft, meaning Swift is only making about RM0.40/sqft, times that by 500k sqft, Swift is making RM200,000/month from subletting.

SSLee's sharing of CapA's problems should be welcomed, because the matter of is this, most of us who are bullish about CapA's future are trading solely based on sentiment whether we like to admit it or not, including myself. I say trading because it has no financial fundamentals to back is as an investable company, which is why institutions don't put their money in PN17 companies until Bursa has vetted them by lifting that status.

EPF buat adjustment pada masa ini adalah perkara biasa, dah sampai masa nk bayar dividend dah. Lagipun, kecuali tuan/puan mampu track beli/jual KWSP dlm saham FFB, aku rasa tuan/puan hanya melabur dgn emosi je.

I fully agree with everything you've said there. Unfortunately or fortunately, SC usually bends their own rules because they want to keep things spicy so that the bourse will have exciting enough inefficiencies to generate some level of volatility. I hated this idea of invisible hands, but have come to accept it is needed for our tiny bourse.
2023-12-11 09:55 | Report Abuse
I doubt it ever will though, because CapA is the only airline listed on our bourse and it will not be easy to get another airline company to list in the near future. So i'd say even Bursa SC are rooting for them to come out of PN17.
I formed my thoughts on this based on some reading i did awhile back, that bourses around the world are like a shopping mall, they want to have a variety of shops to cater to every type of "customer", but in this case its various businesses to cater every type of investor/trader. Therefore by losing CapA and/or AAX, would mean Malaysians lose out on any airline travel positioning.

i agree with newbie8080, and i would say that in the coming months would be an excellent time to buy an EV once manufacturers start throwing price. Recently watched a DW documentary saying that the cost of manufacturing an EV car is 50% cheaper than an ICE car, therefore they have A SHIT LOAD of margin to sacrifice. I wouldn't worry about an EV sale slowdown.
