KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 2): Reach Energy Bhd shares rose 2.25% at late morning trade today following a positive technical outlook for the stock.

At 11.40am, Reach Energy gained 1 sen to 45.5 sen with 9.06 million shares traded.

RHB Retail Research said Reach Energy may rise higher after posting a long white candle and hitting its highest close in more than three months.

In a trading stocks note today, the research house said given that the 21-day SMA line has crossed above the 55-day SMA line recently, this points to a positive sign.

"A bullish bias may appear above the 42.5 sen level, with an exit set below the 35.5 sen threshold.

"Towards the upside, the immediate resistance level is at 50 sen. This is followed by the 59 sen level," it said.
