My first choice selection are plantations base in Sarawak Taann, Sop, Swkplant. Second choice plantation in Sabah MHC, Cepat & Bplant(Mix) . Will ignore pump & dump goreng plantations like Rsawit, TDM & WTK as foreign funds also bypass those counters.

The good news is so far there is not one plantation company talk about expansion unlike those days. P/E 25 achievable with foreign funds involve plus local funds and retail investor.

Foreign funds hoot sop so much the price keep going up. Previously not favor by local institutions and local retail due to its low dividend. Local retail all went into Taann, Inno & Bplant for high dividend.

Do not compare glove and tech. At it's peak glove give you real super profit and high dividend pay out while Malaysia tech give you small % gain in profit. How to compare steel vs palm oil? Palm oil stock volume so low so as the fund managers cannot buy big in plantation even though they wanted to do so. Just look at the buy q and sell q of Sop or even Taann. On the other hand steel stock suffer minor pull back only but last two days steel stock surge in huge volume and that's where the "HOT MONEY" went to after tech sell of for the next theme play. Follow the hot money if you wanna win big. Best is buy both steel & plantation.

US already ban Sime Darby plantation and FGV on force labour yet both made super profit last quarter because most palm oil export to India and China. Taann with low PE and high dividend is very good defensive play in this uncertain time.
