I think results only coming out on Monday...giving another chance to load up!

I tend to agree with the last point. In its current form, ChatGPT/ Chat Bot is unable to replace high-quality customer service. AI tends to lack empathy when dealing with customer complaints which is what high-quality service is - beyond solving customers' issues.

Wait...this is Scicom's forum...ooops! haha

No doubt Texchem has done well in their 4Q2021 results and the same can be said for the share price in the last few months. However, looking back at history - the company has been loss-making since 2017 and the last dividend paid before the current 10 sen was way back in 2017. People are pushing share price on the assumption that the RM16.53m can be repeated going forward, typical straight-line extrapolation. Can or not I am not sure...don't know the company well enough. So is there too much optimism from this quarter results?

hahahaha..moving goal post? Tsk tsk tsk. I am not the one who called it (see above)

I wanted to believe but KGB did not close @ 1.39, nor did Scicom hit 1.20....

Are you talking about KGB's share price? I am prepared.

Well, I do think so as we had a huge volume days two days ago (1.6m shares traded), today overall only traded 279k...Nothing to be overly concerned in my opinion.
If Harry has another better analysis to offer please go ahead instead of simply being a price announcement service. LOL

I think today just some weak holders on t+2 selling in the morning...1.21-1.22 was pretty well absorbed from what I can see. Plenty of happy buyers now...
Don't need Harry to do the price announcements, we all have live price feed...

We can always say we picked the bottom...true or not, nobody knows.
Just to put a timeline into perspective -
YTD Performance (incl dividend):
KGB: - 20%
SCIC: +16%
Going forward, KGB may or may not perform better than Scicom, but I think Scicom's shareholders don't have much to complain about at this stage.

Of course, you did. Why would I ever doubt that you able to catch it near the bottom? Silly me. So what else did you catch near the bottom? Do share.

Yeah why would you not buy KGB instead....Definitely better...unless you already bought @ 1.75 of course..

@Harry, again this just goes to show how little you know about Scicom's business. Pre-covid, s significant part of their biz is from foreign student visa applications and related services (which is a higher margin biz than the traditional BPO biz). With border reopening and foreign students returning, they are poise to recapture that lost revenue over the last two years during MCO. From that read-through, I will think that they will stand to benefit from the reopening of the border (this is also on top of the fact that the earlier lawsuit issue has been resolved). Although I do not know how fast those can return, they should at least be incrementally better than the last two years. I am not here to defend share price but just calling it out on your inaccuracy...have a good day!

I prepared for 1.0 today but it did not happen..now there are so many TPs provided by @Harry...0.9 and now the lowest 0.6 (still without justifications)....maybe should wait for another lower TP from Aaron_Tan?

@Harry, no bullet to push it down to 1.0???

@Harry, If this situation worsens as you stated.....many companies will also close shop, not only Scicom, assuming we go to WW3. If I remember correctly (Vivien can attest to this), most of Scicom's clients are MNC (Lenovo and others), Ministry of Education Malaysia (EMGS) as well as some Regional Telco players. As such chances of that happening is probably less than some other companies with the substantially less robust balance sheet (Scicom has net cash of RM30m+ with zero debt). Share price movement largely depends on greed and fear..it is what it is! So, unless you have a substantial stake to sell to get it to RM0.90 or whatever lower price you think it is worth, the market will determine the share price as it sees fit. My 2 cents.

Lets go for 0.80.....might as well. At that price, we will be looking at a dividend yield of around 8-10%, better than EPF.....lol

if all the prices back to March 2020 low....many stocks to drop, not only Scicom

Harry - the wrong forum to talk about HIBI? Good luck chasing the war premium on oil.

limited growth? Unless I am seeing something different, I think they just achieved ATH revenue per quarter and this does not even include the soon to return foreign students. So from that perspective, 6-7% yield with a 15% growth per annum appears attractive at current valuations. My 2 cents

Interesting, first time I see people comparing Scicom to Ramssol...... Where is the commonality I am not sure. Anyway, only a few hours to go then we will all know if the results are good or bad.

@feenix1522, I did not mean it to be an offensive comment. Each to their own I suppose. You buy or don't buy it is your prerogative. Since this is a sharing platform, I welcome anyone that has constructive comments to share, be it positive or negative.
As for my comments in 2017. Scicom's CEO did in fact buy shares then so it was a statement of fact...many things have happened since then...

The CEO of Scicom just bought 1.5m shares @ 2.15. To me that is a clear sign that there are good things on the horizon.
People sell shares for all sort of reasons: to fund another big ticket purchase, children education etc, There is really only one reason why you buy - the share price will go up in the future...
I think 2017 is looking increasingly to be Scicom's year (esp for early investors) with earnings growth on track and share price continues to trade at valuation below peers while providing 4.5% yield
Stock: [SCICOM]: SCICOM (MSC) BHD

So what is the verdict after AGM? Any interesting revelation? Same old same old? Share price still cannot perform? haha
