@sandcoffee actually the QR is needed just to catalyst the price to move in the correct direction, delaying another month is not big problem, as long as we investor got holding power to wait for our imminent target price. rebound at yesterday in amid of covid fear is great enough to ease the fear factor as least for a while, preventing it from moving downward while we are waiting for the final catalyst, a good QR

@ogopogo true, overreact and thus induced TA traders decisions / stoploss / cutloss due to the TA thing. true investors should always believe in fundamental value and never sell at discounted cheap price, unless there is fundamental change or big issue like natural disaster or war that can truely and directly affect the business of the company. and talking of war, truce has just been archived today for the Israel/Palestine issue, at least for now, we don't have to worry for that anymore.

MCO will lock down the port?? how many loss MMC suffered during MCO 1.0 that lasted for months? zero, zero loss and still making positive earnings. Only people with fear of no reason selling their share at discounted price cheaply at the market

another thing funny I found when you mentioned mmc together with airasia. see what the different, mmc business is unaffected by covid, still making profits throughout the whole covid and previous MCO, growing NTA at RM3.12 currently, but market price is at RM1.05 as of now. While airasia, it is making huge loss every QR during MCO / covid, until it's NTA is at *negative* RM0.37 as of now, but people still buying it's share at RM0.81 with no sight of recovering anytime soon.

so funny people prefer to invest in debt company than company that is still making money constantly and with very good growing potential

I am speaking as someone who has going through massive paper loss at march 2020, holding tight all my shares, still sleeping well like nothing happened and gained positive outcome at the end

mco is not going to be forever anyway, everything will recover sooner or later, like previously, what is the point to sell in fear like what happened in march 2020? you are just selling your share in discounted price for temporary fear reason. we should learn from the past, not doing the same mistake. invest only with extra money, don't contra or borrow money to invest, make sure you can hold tight in fear crisis

@superb99 today currently 1104 stock down, only 99 up, all about covid / total lockdown fear. nothing wrong with MMC itself. I am not trying to mislead, I am a fundamental investor (not TA), investing with free cash money, so definitely has the power to hold long. I never say that MMC will fly in short term future or anything in TA (which I don't believe in), but fundamental wise this stock is definitely worth to buy and hold until it unleashes fair value

btw I am not saying that you are so powerful, just that you seems attempt to cause the price to fall so that you can collect more, unlike someone who has collected enough and hoping the price to go up all the way. imo, eps above 4 cents is good enough for this round. repeat of 5.9 cents or higher will be excellent to prove that previous QR is not fluke and such QR can be consistent in the future even at covid situation, easily propel the price above the recent peak at RM1.26

somemore, the recent selling preasure is certainly due to fear of covid / full lockdown, cannot be taken as indication towards bad QR

WPRTS RM3 vs MMC RM1.5 would make much more sense if just judging by their EPS. Not yet considering NTA factor

@superb99 wprts result is good, but doesn't justified it's price which is almost 4x above MMC, somemore wprts price is 5x NTA while MMC is still way below NTA. not to mention 20 PE vs 10 PE of the same industrial. market is really bad at judging the price of these 2 companies

imagine if you sell today and QR result is out later after 5pm, just as what happened to those who sold at 26 feb or earlier previously before QR release, you will miss the gap up open next day. not worth to panic sell at this time. it is just operator game to pressure out those without holding power. don't fall into the same tactic

@Superb99 last time 1.2 to 0.9 is after last QR new high's peak. Now it is pre QR with spoiled good result. Rallying to new high as it comes closer to QR release. Totally different situation, nothing can force it down when it is so close to immenent good QR release

it should have live up to expectation at least. the only thing that I think doesn't live up to expecation is it's current price haha

@pinky in most other situation I agree, but for current mmc situation is that booming of price is long overdue and it can happen at anytime, you might miss the opportunity if it happens when you lock profit. you might be correct if you locked some profits at previous high at 1.17 - 1.19, but you never know that is the correct decision only after it going back to 1.13 / 1.14 below which you can reenter. if me, I would rather just hold tight, not doing any in and out which I cannot predict the future price movement, and save some unnescessary brokerage fee too at the same time. Rm1.50 above is short term target price due before or days after QR release.
