This Mabel buy so many stocks like how Calvintaneng used to be before his nick got banned, but at least Calvin imparts many good knowledge and wisdom (not related to stocks).

@jaynetan, yes you're holding it that's why you're hopeful. For those not holding, many want to stay away from RI counters. Ask this yourself, if someone recommend you another so-called potential RI stock similar to AGES' situation right now, would you buy it?

I hold shares too but need to accept and understand all good/bad points rather than just simply shouting it will up and buy buy buy.. will subscribe its ICULS if cannot run away before 3rd quarter 2021.

If someone is able to pin below article on AGES forum, it would have save many unfortunate investors like myself from buying into it:

Something to ponder about by having a listing in HKSE where it seems that the listing is more valuable than the share price itself. Although this is related to a penny speculative stock, nevertheless still a good read on understanding this statement "But surely people have to sell shares to realise profits?".

drkelvin20 @soulless, at current price around rm 5, this corresponds to rm 15+ Pre-Bonus Issues (1:2). So current rm 5+ is not pre-COVID price.
Pre-Covid price is actually around rm 5 / 3, which is around rm 1.6++, taking into consideration of bonus issue 1:2 in Sep20.
So current price is like RM 5++, compared to preCovid price around RM 1.6++
Just to share. Not a buy call or sell call.

Oh haha didn't bother to check other sites because holding no glove on hand, and is using i3investor chart which is quite inaccurate actually. Thanks for the correction. This makes it worst then? Used to be a value investor but mostly are value traps especially if the counter is not a growth stock at all.

Cyclical stock, not growth stock? Maybe value investor will think it's good to buy now since it's back to pre-covid price and at its cycle lowest, the biggest question is when will the next cycle comes back? I believe opportunists, probability and smart money investors will avoid glove for now?

Doesn't seem like market reacted much to the ICULS news first thing in the morning. Although the latest article about ICULS makes sense, not much investors are buying into the story. As proven historically, regardless how good it is, many are avoiding stocks with RI news because the fact "losing opportunity costs" cannot be denied.

@BLee, thanks but not sure what you mean by 'game changer' for AGES-PA (ICPS). Or are you saying the ICPS will get priority being goreng compared to ICULS lol?

Anyway, opportunist like me will subscribe+convert in full. Don't ask me why but just own instinct, this worst path presents the highest probability to win at the end of the day.

Company asked for RI last Feb 2020, and now Feb 2021 another round? This is one of the company with the shortest break in between two consecutive RIs. It seems that SC is doing nothing to protect minority against such exercise that benefits company more than the minority shareholder.

A company RI is like asking its shareholders to help finance them in upcoming venture, be it financing a project, business operations, repay borrowings etc. There is no interest given to the financier, it does not guarantee a return of investment, and in worst case share price can even drop in the future post exercise. At least bank can still charge an interest or a private placement investor can push the price up for gains.

Adding to above, having an RI announcement is like locking the share price all the way to its completion. Nearing or after exercise completion, price must fall due to dilution (timeframe varies on RI type but usually is immediate).

To the company, this method is the most ideal. No loan interest from bank, no headache looking for an investor for private placement etc. This ICULS is just another name for ICPS, especially if there is zero interest/coupon rate.

Brace for a long period of holding until third quarter 2021, if you are not willing to cut loss or run now.

I invested quite a bit in this counter, due to the consistent buying volume after the 16% UMA drop.

1. Qtr result bad but has turnaround plan ie. moving into property, etc is a good thing.
Look at RA who has been losing for so many quarters but no turnaround plan.

2. Not necessary will drop next week, look at vsolar latest result. In fact it's flying for past 2 weeks.

3. It's the fear that makes us want to quickly exit. Hold emotion for a bit and see what happens, give yourself a longer exit plan, unless you desperately need the money or cannot tahan your gambling self from recovering losses by selling quickly and gambling in another counter.

4. This is the mental/emotion result from playing such speculative counter, learn from it and be a better person.
