both. This Dr. Lim is a conman 101%. First time see a Dr. get involved in so much business from property development to investment advisory. Got time to see patients ah? But his best accomplishments to-date he was able to use con other professionals to believe what he is.

I suspect the placement will be placed out to proxies of the incoming party or the actual party themselves. The placement proceeds (plus a major bulk of the company's $$$ will be used to acquire the incoming assets (resulting in the recycling of $$$). $$$$ will be settled amongst themselves and the outgoing shareholders will hold on to the shares and waiting time for disposal (assuming the incoming new assets is salivating enough (just a theory ;))

If my guess is correct, the only winner walking away from this share price spike are the controlling shareholders. Money from the company will be used to acquire the new assets of which will then be paid off to the outgoing controlling shareholders....if you follow this stock closely, the management of this company has not done much since its listing in 1995 except for some minuscule dividends and a handful rounds of bonus issues. Not even free warrants. Plus the MD has been paying himself well but there is hardly any growth in the company over the years.

It could be a case of a takeover (RTO or even a hostile one). What is baffling is who would wanna pay such a high premium for an industrial/manufacturing counter? Current share price is traded at close to NA. My guess is it would be a two-step asset injection to be followed by a diversification of the company's core business later. What I am interested to know is what is the new business/asset that will injected into Ajiya. Bear in mind that the current major shareholders, i.e. the Managing Director and a Director has not sold down their stake. There will be a major stock overhang later. Buy with caution. It may not pan out well for whoever is buying into the company currently.

enter with caution but i believe favourable outcomes on contract wins moving forward. looking at its shareholding, there is a share overhang.

Before jumping the gun, we need to read through the announcement on the proposed debt restructuring and proposed capital restructuring. Firstly it is not an easy feat to get all the secured and unsecured creditors to agree on the Debt Restructuring Agreement. Secondly the controlling shareholder is committing its $$$ via irrevocable undertaking to its rights issue and placement. Thirdly you need to work out the proforma effect of its capital restructuring exercise to understand its hidden value. In short the announcement is sort of a self-rescue plan.
