After Hapseng dispose the HS Credit (Manchester), HAPSENG still got its leasing business in Malaysia.

The profit from HS Credit (Manchester) for 2022 is about RM5mil, whereby the total operating profit from its leasing unit for 2022 is RM194.5 mil.

The transaction volume this few days (including today) looks abnormal for Star.....

@genintrade: My own opinion: As ASB intended to sell its stake in Star (ASB had started to dispose Star slowly since few months back), then after it disposed all Star holding, then at least will eliminate a party that will always try to sell the Star share.

2nd: I think there is another big leg or perhaps is Huaren Holding that bought the big amount Star that disposed by ASB (let's wait for another few days, see whether Huaren Holding will make announcement on this acquisition).

Good news: ASB had sold all Star on 18/4/23.

So, I just start to accumulate since Oct 2020 even I do not know when the big new project will come in. My latest addition of MHB to my portfolio was on Sep 2022.

Yet, I still hold it until now. :-)

As today, about 50% of my share portfolio is in MHB.

O&G sector, especially upstream had a very tough time since the oil price collapse on 2014. Many oil major had reduce their CAPEX especially upstream & big facilities Capex.

When oil price up, more cari gali work will resume, once they discover any new oil field, oil major will need to invest & build the oil rig etc.

For MHB:
a) Strong balance sheet
b) the background of their major shareholder -> MISC -> Petronas.

With the strong balance sheet (with nett cash), they are able to tender & execute when big project opportunity arise; yet Petronas Carigali will also consider or put mhb as their preferred contractor (this is my own assumption).

Don't worry, even the goods price remain at high level. the next year inflation will relative low also, as the goods price didn't increase much compare this year.

Mr. Pandai also disclose that so far, all the on going big heavy engineering jobs is on track.

Today AGM, the management just disclose the known fact .....

But they looks very confident that MHB able to execute the on hand jobs on time.

Yet, they are positive & aim to get some Offshore Wind Farm job, Mr. Pandai said hopefully on this year.

There is an article on this Monday 6/3/23 Sin Chew Daily, they interview the Deputy Chairman of MPM (Malaysia Petroleum Management),En.Mohamed Firouz Asnan a unit under Petronas.

He pointed that besides the CCS of Kasawari (Sarawak), they will kick off another CCS project at Penisular Malaysia, he said that they will announce the good news SOON!

Hope that MHB able to get this CCS project again :-)

While Urusharta might continue to dispose MHB, another big fund manager is actively absorb it.....which I suspect is ASB.....................

It looks like the heavy engineering segment need at revenue of RM300mil per quarter for break even.

Hopefully the HE segment will turn profitable latest by Q2 2023, after its revenue reach RM400-500 mil per quarter.
