The Races of South East Asia EV
By Neil Foo
kuala lumpur — EV ( Electrical Vehicle) is widely accepted that it can be a way to reduce the impact of global warming via cleaner technology and phasing out greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, it could be less dependent on the fluctuation of petroleum price all this while.
South East Asia (SEA) countries are taking multiple steps forward in the EV race and some fact finding as below :
EV penetration in SEA stood at 4% in 2020
EV penetration expected to grow five times to 20% by 2025
EV to outsell internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs) in SEA from 2035
EVs are given its addressable market of 40 million units in the 4W and 220 million units in the 2W segments respectively
Establishing an essential public charging network is a strategic first step
American, European, Japanese, South Korean EV are here
China has a proven EV model with a complete value chain potential for SEA’s partnership
Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore remain ahead of the pack in terms of developing EV-friendly policies
Malaysian consumers are very price-sensitive and pro-national cars, whereas the Philippines prefers motorcycles
Vietnam caught surprise with her EV aggressiveness
Indonesia glides with the natural resources ie. Nickle
The most significant SEA’s moves are :
Malaysia
launched the National Automotive Policy 2020(NAP2020)
national car Proton and Produa have not launched any EV yet
MyKar announced to launch low price EV RM50k ( about USD12k)
Ho Wah Genting Berhad (HWGB 9601)’s HWGB EVSdn Bhd (HWGB EV) has entered into separate Memorandum of Understanding with Beijing Seiyong Motor Co. Ltd, Xiamen Chief Electric Vehicle Co Ltd, AiTou Venture Capital and Malton Berhad (Malton 6181) respectively for the purpose of introducing electric vehicles in South East Asia and Malaysia
SEA’s 600 million people population with the vision of migrating to higher income bracket, poise a great potential market to transform the petrol-powered car to EV.
American, European, Japanese, Korean, Chinese EV are eyeing on the SEA’s EV related masterplans to set their strategic footing in racing for the meat pie of the world highest GDP growth region!

So it seems that GOB is taking more than a month to negotiate a deal with Fawoo Nano.
Hope that it will be a successful win-win agreement as am positive on this Nanobubble technology more so at times when covid-19 cases on the rise.

Reference is made to the announcement dated 14 September 2020 in relation to the Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") entered into between Global Nano Innovation Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GOB and Fawoo Nanotech Co Ltd.
The Board of Directors of GOB wishes to announce that the parties had agreed to extend the MOU for a further one (1) month until 13 November 2020 and that all other terms and conditions of the MOU shall remain in full force and effect.
This announcement is dated 12 October 2020.

Rightinvestment, I agree with you that this Nano bubble water technology can be used in many areas. If you were to look at the description of the device from the website, the device apparently has 2 functions. Firstly, it can produce highly concentrated oxygen water - more for agriculture, whereby crops, vegetables and fruits would have better yields and more flavourful (i guess) from the plentiful of oxygen. Secondly, it produces ozone (O3) water - this they claim is able to sanitise and disinfect via eradicating bacteria, viruses, germs etc.
Therefore, if this company is able to work out the business model for this technology in Malaysia and Singapore, definitely a stock worth investing in. Just that they would need to quickly make full use of the current situation (continuous high cases of covid19).

Based on past 30 years, the month of September is the worst investing month, "September Effect".
Probably a good entry point for many.

I am actually kind of bullish on products which are able to protect us Malaysians from the threat arising from this Covid-19 pandemic. Statistically, the confirmed Covid-19 cases in Malaysia is on a disturbing climb. Again, caveat emptor. Any devices which claim it is able to perform certain tasks must be properly certified by the relevant Government Agencies.
In the case of Global Oriental Berhad, should it is able to secure the endorsement of the Ministry of Health (i.e. the Malaysian Medical Device Authority) for its Nano device, then am sure that it will be a game changer for this small/medium sized property developer.
Furthermore, based on the claims by Fawoo Nanotech that the device is able to cater all sort of industries, the potential would akin to a Blue Ocean scenario.

I totally agree with Shares321. Share price goes up and down depending on newsflow. The more positive news and updates from the management would provide an indication of the status on the new business venture. Again, I find it very important that the directors and management have decided to seek alternative ventures and not only rely on its property segment as i dont foresee the property market will rebound anytime soon (I may be wrong here). Lets wait and see if there is any further development. Otherwise, I would label this company another MOU poser!!

I read the announcement of GOB on their MOU with the Fawoo Nanotech. I was curious what this Nanobubble products they are talking about and decided to do some research.
I managed to google the website of Fawoo Nano (https://efawoo.imweb.me/ ). Fawoo is a Korean company, a nonotechnology company. Copied and paste the below from their website:
Fawoo develops and supplies the innovative nanobubble generator that can be an ideal solution for various industries. We are in possession of several patents on mixer and tube that is key technology to generate nanobubble.
Fawoo Nanobubble Generator with patented technology can be used for the following industries.
Agriculture: growth promotion, quality improvement
Water and sewage: floating, odor control, water purification
Industry and medical field: clean, disinfection
Life and sport: water purification and sterilization for public bath, sauna, swimming pool, golf course, etc.
They have 3 patents of their products and 2 certificates on design registration.
Initially, am not sure how this nanobubble technology works for the above industry. Upon further checking on this technology, their product is able to produce Nanobubble with high concentration of oxygen (O2) which I think is widely being used in Japan for agriculture industry. Their product is also able to create Nanobubble O3 water (water based Ozone) which they claim is able to disinfect and sanitize.
Have also done some research on O3.
Ozone is a powerful oxidising agent which when dissolved in water produces a broad spectrum biocide that destroys all bacteria, virus and cysts. Ozone is the most powerful oxidising agent permitted for use at this time.
