It mentioned gpacket started to ship out MYTV set-top boxes in february. Is that why the quarterly losses narrowed down to 2.622 million which is lowest in last 4 qtrs? If that is the case, it should return to being profitable soon probably in next qtr the fastest.

If election is around May during school holiday, could it be possible the MYTV decoders sooner?

These set-top boxes will be the devices in homes that will receive the new free to air digital signals for home TV viewing, replacing the old antennas.

The Government has said that a total of 4.2 million BR1M (1Malaysia People’s Aid) households will receive free MYTV decoders.

Its chief executive officer Tan Kay Yen said the contract would also take the group back to the black in the year ending Dec 31, 2018 (FY18).

“For FY18, yes, definitely we will turn around. With this contract, we should easily double our last year’s revenue. Because of the size itself, even if it is [a] single-digit margin, it is already quite substantial,” Tan said, but declined to reveal the margin under the contract.

“The contract is for two years. Deliveries will mainly happen this year because the government is shutting down analogue transmission. In fact, we will be shipping as soon as next month (February),” he told The Edge Financial Daily.

Seems like all selling with high volume changing hands past few days but now very low volume. Not sure but looks like price manipulation by someone..suspicious

Now is the earnings release season with many companies announcing their quarterly reports these few days so a lot of portfolio rebalancing and capital flights by retailers and funds houses or even foreigners. I see today's sudden price drop is only technical re-shifting because u can see it with very low volumes. Just buy low, it will rebound.
