the plant was valued at the equivalent of scrap metals just not long ago.....but the plant is now a few years older.

Petronm needs to spend 14 billion to build a plant which is 90 KBPD which is smaller than Hengyuan present plant with capacity of 126 KBPD.

If the proposed 14B expansion is sole for refinery, then why not spend 5B to buy the whole hengyuan. The job is so much easier and cost effective.

KYY was misleading readers in writing below, because he had not included the bonus effect over the share price. The impact was not as big as what he described.

The price is dropping from 1.40 to 1.06. Not from 1.80.

LuoLi,

The owner of Hengyuan and Chinese fund should have supported the share price to reduce volatility.

Drop from 19.20 to 11.32 and now 12.20 is not a good image to public since the earning of 3.03 in 2017 is the best EPS in KLSE.

Action needs to be done if the owner wants Hengyuan to be a blue chip.

Should not allow IB to push down the share price until so low.

The slow down is on high cost condo, it is replaced with medium cost condo.

Assuming like you said, EPS for 2018 is 2.00,
PER = 15, fair price is 30.00.
PER = 10, fair price is 20.00.

No matter how you count, 13.00 is really undervalued.

Prev qtr was very good, hard to beat in this qtr. Myself est earning >25m. Lower on qoq but will 600% on yoy (since Q4 prev year only 4m).

Previous quarter there was an extraordinary gain (around 20M) which is not counted as part of operational profit.
This coming quarter result can produce 20M is good enough.
