Tan Sri Lim don’t even bother to comment in topglove forum. Look at their results, profit at 347mil. Increase almost 100%.

Coming.. second outbreak of covid19 outside Malaysia will trigger more usage of masks.. to find reliable masks manufacturer is not easy.. perhaps notion will be chosen...If every country place order for certain duration of time frame ..say 2yrs.. Notion is ready to provide such services.. make it or break it.. we shall see notion next few weeks.. anyway mask section is just complimentary over their core business...

Instead gloves will be in high demand. Due to more patients need to be treated.

@winner128, I agree with you that economy activities won’t close forever. People will eventually come out and mask is still needed.

However, look at the streets now. Everybody is wearing mask now. This is before notion start producing mask. Means the market is enough of supply. In fact it is oversupply. Which is why pride of mask is dropping.

There’s oversupply now. Many people can produce mask. You can see in the news people doing their own mask in some countries. But how many gloves producers out there? Very few. It’s like a oligopoly.

You can see by their share price. Gloves producers share price already double. Some even increase 1000%. You can compare it with the business venturing into face mask production.

One more thing. ASP for gloves keep increasing whereas government put a price ceiling for mask. Meaning maximum profit for mask is limited.
