Honestly, the fair price for pbb at this point in time should be at least 4.50. Other regional banks have up near 20% since January.

That's a real confidence booster. Have always believed in Public Bank, but the continued drop in price for a long time, in fact since the ex-date, has served to dampened the spirit. Let's hope for more rises than dips from now on.

PBB during its good,sweet and momentous period has to look beyond, and see how their BODs and top management can ride on the fintechs wave. In America according to Bloomberg News more than 200,000 bank employees will lose their jobs because of fintechs(finance technology) in the coming years to come.
A.2 In Malaysia and also the rest of Asian countries such fintechs' threats loom great over the regional banks.
A3. To be ahead of the curve hope greatly that PBB needs to have a fintech blueprint planned and dished out to face the technological development in the banking industry.
A4.Not to change,not to innovate and best the competitors is NO longer an option.

Allyoucanbuy, pbb is always very conservative, remember last year second QR no dividend announced .... Haha ha... I guess 6 or 7 cents only in August, but if second half economy is improving, I think uncle Teh will give us bigger ang pau next year February. If August dividend is 9 cents, I also don't mind... Haha ha...

With this being the case, if we can break above the highs of the trading session on Monday, that should continue to put more pressure to the upside, perhaps opening up the possibility of a move towards the $1950 level. That is an area that has been significant resistance in the past and if we broke above there then we would almost certainly go much higher over the longer term.

(Reuters) - European stocks headed lower on Wednesday, tracking weakness on Wall Street, as investors grew wary of rising inflationary pressures increasing the chances of an early tightening of monetary policy.

The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell 1.1% by 0711 GMT, trading less than 2% below its all-time highs. Euro zone stocks felt the pressure as the euro touched a four-month high, making exports more expensive.

A jump in regulated electricity and gas bills and clothing and footwear prices saw British consumer price inflation more than double in April, data showed on Wednesday.

While central bank policymakers expect the surge to be temporary, investors are worried that the price rises may last for a prolonged period of time, pushing central banks to counter it with policy tightening.

Investors will be watching for more clues on policymakers' views on inflation when the U.S. Federal Reserve releases its minutes from the latest policy meeting.

A retreat in commodity prices made miners and oil and gas stocks among the top losers in Europe.

Swiss wealth manager Julius Baer inched up 1% after it posted an 8% rise in assets under management for the first four months of 2021.
