Occam's Razor will tell you that for a perfect bank like Public Bank,
all the gin joints in all the world are guaranteed to show perfect financials way better than Industry Average.

but instead the opposite is true. Industry Average is way better than Public Bank. Why?

Public bank management is excellent in controlling loan risk with its prudent management approaches. This resulted the lowest loan loss provision and credit cost within Malaysia banking universe and higher ROE. Thats why PBBANK trade at higher PB ratio compared to other Malaysia banks. Pandemic will be a stress test to show how Malaysian banks fared.

Every year around this time, rich dudes are planning for long holiday and indirectly drove the market down after clearing holdings. 2020 was an exception.

Not just year end holiday. In Malaysia, the week before the school holiday, market volume is usually low. This is a weird phenomenon. This has been going on for a long time already.
