Bro KC Loh, i take some effort to understand the DDM model and Relation of PE to Ke, on in general, Price is in correlation with Dividend based on the writer if i do understand correctly. I try to struggle over the notes on Finance. Is a bit uneasy after leaving school days for a long time.

Correct me if i am in wrong position.

need not fret yfchong! different valuation models is applicable to different scenarios! but the whole aim is to derive a valuation price range you are comfortable with! that's all there is to it!

think like this, and will definitely not hit your sanity: basically as a engineer, will you pay 50k for a 35k house? how do you know the value of the house is 35k? what makes it 33-35k? what to look out for if someone renovated the 35k house and ask you for 60k? all are valid points, you see! it depends then what the market values it and what you value it! these are where ratios and valuation techniques help (somewhat, hehe) if you think business wise, the model approach becomes easier to understand! some dont mind paying a fair price. other won't budge (but may lose opportunity to own the house). so you have to come in when you are the most comfortable!

and ignore noises! :)

In our profession yes and no. and see which industry you are in, The monthly contribution able to coffer for the present state, with alpha of surplus, however if I consider for the future state, this would pose a challenge to me, as kids will grow in tandem of time and their expenditure, as new knowledge would try to generate passive input during opportunity arises., This will be a nearer reflection of me. He He.

I do invest in some unit trust, with good recommendations during the profiling period. however the return is unbelievable during bull operations, a reflection of 0.35% increase in value as gain over a time frame of 2.5 years. so they are run by professionals. if i pick up the min required skill sets can i do better......... just another point of viewing..... a bit too long.

Yes indeed. Passive income nowadays not really a vaunted as it seems! Stock market remains best income generator over a longer horizon. Good you are planning appropriately for the coming days and years ahead! Don't trade as often, just let compounding do its work! All the best

Could be soon if Indonesia proven to be a gold mine! Vietnam is running in capacity, so I heard. Kinda worried this winter chill could be prolonged as US is starting to assess potential damage already. From long drought to prolonged winter, who would have thought how this crazy world is coming to.
