the full lock will no kill all stock...it will kill GENM...but will push up the tecnology stock same like last time first MCO 1.0 as the tecnology stock up very well

If full lockdown is mulled, then MCO is very likely going to extend another 4 weeks after Feb 4th, at the minimum.
Not looking good for genm, and 4QR will be a downward catalyst to 1.90

let me rephrase since some people don't get it. If they are even considering full lockdown, then the current MCO status will probably continue At Least for another 4 weeks. Genm does not require full lockdown to be affected, current MCO restrictions already killing it. Cases are still stubbornly high. Govt will not release MCO so early else all that time will be wasted if numbers haven't come down.

PETALING JAYA: The business chamber representing European companies in Malaysia has denied talk about an impending strict national lockdown after criticism arose over a leaked letter containing details of a meeting with the international trade and industry ministry.

The EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Eurocham) said that there was no mention at the meeting about an immediate lockdown to be imposed after the current movement control order ends.

There's no denied that the news could be real but enforcing a full lockdown after a month long of MCO will be a disaster. The government will think twice before implement it. Some panic reactions might happen today but mostly bargain hunting will jump into the opportunity. Trade on your own risks.

A full lockdown is the only way to reduce infection. Thats not possible to practice sop in construction site and at factories. Insread of having a prolong covid-19 we should reduce the pains immediately. I support a full lockdown. A short term pains rather than a long-term pains.

US never carried out full lockdown & the numbers actually falling for the past 3 days by huge gap. SOP matters more than a full lockdown. Government should impose huge fine to those company who fail follow SOP.

I am hopeful more and more encouraging data would be released from the country, where vaccinations drive is the fastest in the world,...I believe this will boost the tourism stocks...

I am hopeful market will see a huge boost when more and eventual data out from this nation with most vaccination drive being carried out...Just like back in September2020, where vaccine news rock the market for recovery...

My two cents, not a buy call/sell call.

On September 17, 2020 new infections peaked at 96,000 new cases

On September 19th 2020 there were 1.0m active cases (infected people)

By January 22, 2021 active cases dropped to 187,000 people.

Daily deaths have decreased from a high of 1,300 in Sept 2020 to 154 deaths in January 2021.

Again considering the geographical vastness of India and its 1.3 billion population the infections have decreased substantially.
