You buy share or you buy steel bar future.
Steel bar future has nothing to do with Hiaptek.

Billet and slab are selling like hot cakes.
Sell to China also follow international pricing.

US steel bar future price which is the international price is not down like China.

Nothing to talk, no point, Hiaptek also cannot perform.

Isn't it just a simple supply and demand issue? With China clamping down on steel plants and winter season setting in increasing cost of production, am quite certain steel prices will stay current level. Even if prices drop, the demand will remain as economies open up after COVID. Even EU and American cannot than and decide to release tariff as there isn't enough on supply.

I can't wait to see next are results. Should be very encouraging.

And the simple matter is, scrap metalpeice is still being sold at all time high. Even in international scrap yards.

Wonder so many people comment with such little depth in forums. China is world biggest steel consumer and producer 57%. If they cut down on production, wouldn't prices go up? Thought it is simple logic. Costs of raw mat will pass on to consumers as usual.

Steel price forecast for 2021: Steel prices remain elevated,supply chain disruptions delay price declines to the second half of 2021

Sheet prices continue to strengthen however the pace of the increses has started to decelerate.Extremely cold weather disrupted the collection of scrap and delivery of ore and scrap in Europe and North America over the first quarter,tightening supply and boosting raw material prices.Increases in input costs have added approximately $200 to $250 per ton to steel making costs.Aside from sheet,price increase in Mainland China and Europe have largely mirroed the rise in input costs,while US prices have increase more.

As the same time,Mainland China has also started enforcing emissions restrictions in key northen steel producing provinces,further tightening global steel supply and unintentionallly stoking psychological momentum.As the weather improves,these pollution controls will ease but will not be completely lifted.

PRICES WILL FALL LATER IN THE THIRD AND FOURTH QUARTERS. The risk is depends on the extend that restrictions on steel production are retained or relaxed

I advise readers to not listen to OTB. He has no morale compass and he steps on people to lift himself up. In a telegram group, he was attempting to strengthen his stance against 'attackers' on i3.

He said and I quote: "Those had attacked me, they are disappearing from I3 permanently and a few of them are bankrupt. One apologize to me and committed suicide. I do not tell lies in I3, I have my code of ethic." dated 30th April 2021, 12.54p.m.

He used others' bankruptcy to attempt to lift his own reputation up and even bragged about receiving an apology from an 'attacker' prior to their death. I think any decent human being will agree that OTB is a terrible person. Buying his calls is equivalent to supporting his terrible actions, so just refrain from supporting him anymore.

If OTB dares to say I am telling lies with regards to this matter, he is indeed very shameless and show no EQ, as 787 other members in the telegram group are witnesses of him saying the above quoted statement.

OTB deserves to be called out for his terrible personality and selfish acts.

I learned hard lesson from glove counters. It prevents me to make another big loss from steel counters now. Market always reflect 6months or more earlier. I always ask, what is the policy of China after Winter Olympics in Feb 2022? Logically it will loosen it's restrictions on steel production to ease the tension of supply if still persist during that time.

I am the only one posted in I3, it is the opportunity to buy cheap.

I withdrew all my FD (forgo the interest) to buy big on shares in March 2020.

I made the most money in my life in 2020.
1 year profit in 2020 is enough for me to retire happily.

it is already a fact that china wants to reduce steel production due to her commitment to reduce carbon emissions, which translates into reducing supply perpetually. The steel future drops in China because of political interference and it doesn't reflect the real steel shortage around the world. The future of steel industry in Malaysia is still very bright as Malaysia has imposed anti-dumping duties on imported steel.
