Ivory Coast is the world leading cocoa producing country. By setting up a company in Ivory, they can source better quality and cheaper price of cocoa bean, semi finished product like cocoa mass, cocoa cake or even finished product like cocoa butter. With this move, Gcb can bring down the operating cost and maximize the profit. Overall this is a good investment.

Net profit can be easily manipulated. Revenue drop is a serious concern.
Balance sheet health is quite poor, highly leverage.

Competitor JBFood in SGX flying high hovering at SGD0.70. It is known fact that cocoa market is optimistic for year 2018/19. What's up with GCB sliding down? Got big kaki goreng and no big difference yoy..SGX also can goreng, tot regulator supposed to be stricter than KLSE. Maybe market perceive cash tight due to aggressive expansion. buy now wait for TP2.50?

目标价1:rm2.30
目标价2:rm2.40 还是维持。

The price is pe 10.5 only base on strong earning forecast the stock price shall potential hit rm3.00 by end 2018 if the full year results is doing somewhere as per the quarter 4 2017 . We can be long for GCB counter

The similiar thing I have been saw GKENT. ( I dint compared GKENT to GCB， okay？）
GKENT moved from RM3.25 to RM3.46.
then, in next day the price move chart pull back to RM3.33 with very low vol.
someone or maybe like stockintalk say sell at every 100-200 shares with low price,
so, the price keep drop and drop, it created other peoples to Q to sell at big vol of quantities shares at higher a bit.
Please see below as a example.

buy vol ( Q for sell directly, easy to make price drop )
RM3.35: 5000
RM3.34: 8000
RM3.33: 4000

sell vol: ( Q higher a bit to let other peoples buy directly )
RM3.36: 20000
RM3.35: 24000
RM3.34: 30000

Let me explain.
RM3.35 对 RM3.36
when ppls purposely throw at 3.35 with less vol of shares,
then will created other panic peoples to Q at RM3.36 with biger vol shares.
这样就让有心人直接吃掉RM3.36 的 shares.

Rm3.36好多的票就是那些panic ppls排队出卖的人，因他们想卖高出1 sen,同一个时候制造假象跌势的人就会趁机直接吃票在rm3.36.

It's not necessary bad. Normally cocoa grinder will keep cocoa bean or lock long term contract of cocoa bean supplier when the bean price still low. Gcb trader is good on predict the bean price. With these, in fact they can earn more. Now cocoa bean is higher than previous, but they are using the bean with lower price. Personally I predict 2018 1st quarter results must be very good against 2017 1st quarter results. Then 2018 2nd quarter results will be as good as 2017 2nd quarter results.

Their contracts is fixed at the high prices.

Thats why they make more money despite cocoa prices going down. Question now is, how long longer do these contracts last.
