The special div given was due to gomen nd money. Like milking the petronas. So as a minority shareholder, it is consider good also ma. U ride along with gomen and get some candy loh. For FY22, estimated eps after cukai makmur is 18c/Q. Annual eps is 74c loh. TNB dividend is 30%-60%. Therefore, div is about 22c - 45. So at current price, DY = 2.5%- 5%. Properity tax is only for 1 FY22. So FY 23 should hv better eps due to normalise tax, increase in electricity tariff, lower coal price. I blow water only la.......

Assuming Tenaga pays another 38 sen (instead of 58 sen) dividend for its financial year ending 31/12/2021, its dividend yield for the year still works out to a creditable 6.6%, several times higher than banks' 1 year fixed deposit rates. I doubt the EPF could beat this.

RM9 seems like a pretty strong support, although I might take some profit if it reaches RM10, I am too overweight on Tenaga because its such a nice bargain, but for long term need to trim a bit of positions for diversification

hydro production costs are low
Malaysia is importing hydro from Laos

and also get more run of river hydro up and running
to balance out solar during monsoon months
many projects are in progress

so very sorry to inform you that Tenaga will not go bankrupt,
today is not a good day to die, not yet.

solar manage to survive purely based on subsidies from Govt of Malaysia otherwise solar dies

even solar FIT is also subsidized

This s expected reaction from TNB.
They will not buy the excess power generated.

Pirates mentality is well known.

It is up to consumers to exercise their rights and take care of their finances. Setup your own solar system for your monthly need or half of that.

Just watch when solar gets full attention, the pirates may impose higher import duty on panels and other accessories.
