You are way wrong on tnb will not buy excess power generated. U ada berapa access, tnb will makan. The question is at what cost oni. If dun feed in into grid lines, u want to install battery? got calculate o not. Solar cannot be fully independent la. It is only supplementary to the current generation due to solar generation not stable......lu tau bo.....if u not in this line....also baca abit la....

If I don't know I won't talk about. But admit not an expert.

My monthly usage is hardly 500 KwH. Battery will be storage.
Some devices like modem or router can be powered by battery with BMS.

share 1 more thing. I bought a shop (sub-sale) from a friend. Have been using the electric for past 5 year without changing the name. He also no go terminate. I went last week to change name. His deposit when he register the account was RM500. But when i register now is RM2500. I was like WTF?? I ask where so expensive. The previous 1 is only RM500. TNB answer, all increase. Meaning more new registration, more deposit received. FD from deposit pun untung. Side income...

As a holder it has been very frustrating watching the price gradually drop ~10% as EPF dispose millions of shares on a daily basis over recent months. If you look at this selling rationally the actual price drop has been well supported. If you were to see the same level of selling in other counters that EPF hold I think it could have caused a collapse of other counters, as the selling volumes and value have been very substantial.

I have retained all my holdings in Tenaga during this downturn and remain optimistic that the stock will move up to fair value over time.

Judging from the number of comments posted on this forum each day, I think more small investors prefer to invest in glove stocks ( n lose money) rather than invest in rock solid stocks like Tenaga, Maybank and RHB.

I agree with you, @prudentinvestor.

Too many people are seeking instant rewards, similar to a day at the races or casino. This all happened when online trading commenced and got exponentially worse with time. Things like revenue,profit and EPS are irrelevant to many as they jump on the latest market darling. I'm not knocking it if it works for them and they make a profit but it's got very little to do with investing.

Each to their own criteria, I guess.

It has been a long one year wait. With the dividend yield of~8-9% at least we have peace of mind. Not much of a concern everyone deserves to be happy and richer but patience is key. Didn't expect the covid recovery to take more than 2 years. But omicron should b a savior variant base on the medical response not political or economic response from the ministry.

This is how I see the stock: Eight years ago, when Tenaga was selling at RM9.00, the TTM earnings were RM0.95 per share. Today, it is RM0.69. Unless this fact changes for the better, any rise in the share price may not be sustained.

@thirai thiraviam - tenaga made big money in 2014, 15 and 16 but paid around 40 sen dividends, only 50% of what it paid for financial year ending 31/12/2020. It made 48.68 sen a share for financial year ending 31/12/2017 but was trading at above RM15 in March 2018. In early 2020 before the pandemic, it was trading at above RM11, Maybank was trading at around RM 8.70 and CIMB at around RM5. No reason for it to stay at this level except for the fact that EPF is dumping.
