@Kong73 I am not being impatient here, I am not satisfied with the change in fundamental (high div rate), I revalued the company to be lower than RM9, previously with the high div rate intact, i valued this company at around RM10, that's the reason I consider RM9.07 (my entry price) a good deal, now it is no longer the case, so I seek to leave.

1 of the valid reason for fundamental investor to cut loss is change in the fundamental of the company

it is not that I need the high div payout, but it is the company that need the high div rate as part of it's fundamental to maintain good market price

I won't be hesitate to reenter this counter if the company reannounce the special dividend (provided the company price remains the same or become lower at that time)

I guess i am quite patient, a small 10c drop is nothing. A knee jerk responses. But i do hope to get this baby for 8.70-80. Sadly, just 8.91. I see no fundamental change. Tenaga can always recommend a special divvy in q1. They really could afford a 40c divvy but choose not to, yet.

dear all, the dividend will continue to drop due to lousy earning. Those who listen to me could have sold the stock above rm10 last year. refer to my history post. This stock will continue to drop, please run before too late. :)

@Wriajati "Tenaga can always recommend a special divvy in q1"

I agree. But since they used to announce special div in q4, at this point, it seems high probably that there won't be special div for this year, and there is also no clue whether special div will resume in the future. so I would stay out for the moment of uncertainty

I am always OK with investing in low div rate or no div company, but I seek lower PE (legit one, not one off gain) and better NTA discount price. For example, Khind (PE 5.52, NTA RM4.52 vs current price RM3.32)

Very lonely shorties troopers. Very easy to predict stock actually if it is not going up , it has tendency to go down. At least we choose to move from gloves to something more stable since last year. Technology too risky and oil and gas, cannot predict who gets what contract. Palm oil still ok but boring

Dumped this shiit share after shiit dividend announcement. Will never buy this again..
Made a big fuking loss here. Waiting for dividend that never came. Put into petronm. Got dividend there..
Anyways best of luck to those believers.

Sincerestock, i respect your position here. But i am here for my retirement fund, 10 years++ down the road. A minor road bump like reduced divvy ( to be used for capex esp which is good actually in the long term) is nothing unless we get 2nd national electric co or population goes down for whatever reason. Coal price up and down is also normal every few years, and my litrak's divvy already covers my reduced divvy from tenaga this time. Cheers!

@Beetles, never under estimate downtrend stock bro. :). Sell early less lost compared to you sell at RM6. I give warning to sell when the price around RM11 last few years and those who listen will lost very less compare to RM9 now.

SincereStock

@mywb RM18 is overvalue, RM9 is slightly undervalue with the high div rate in tact. Without high div rate fair value is RM8 imo. your TP RM6 is undervalue imo even without the high div in tact, because div rate with be become relatively high if the price actually drop to RM6. I won't be hesitate to rejoin this counter if offered at RM6

this is how I see the counter in the perspective of fundamental. I can see that you are a technical investor via your comments

At 13x PER...for a DY of around 4-6%. With discounts on NTA per share....and with the economy going to recover soon. I really feel it's on cheap sales now for us to gear for the future income. Fundamentally it's strong. I have same thought like @Wirajati

Nevertheless, this qtr's DV a bit disappointing.

Revenue in the same quarter improved 52.4 per cent to RM15.74 billion from RM10.32 billion.
- under recovery of 3.21 B, operating expense increase 67% to 14.49B
- Qtrly Revenue improved 52.4 per cent to RM15.74 billion
- demand growth of 1.2 per cent, consistent with the country's gross - domestic product (GDP) growth of 3.1 per cent.
- ESG rating is improving

The under recovery of 3.21B should be reduce with Feb 022 ICBT approval. with 1.2% of demand growth roughl equals to 2,5 B in revenue. With GDP growth at ~6% ,2022 expect Qtrly revenue to be in region of 17-18B Rev. Something unseen before. PBT will be good if operating expenses can be control.

I don't claim to have insider information like some do :) but we have to learn to challenge the numbers and see it as it is. Only the big boys can influence Tenaga share turn around .

That’s why China is super quiet on this invasion
Can’t be slapping themselves when they invade Taiwan or sink the Indonesian or Philippines navy ships

Posted by prudentinvestor > 2022-02-25 19:46 | Report Abuse

Only a handful of Western countries are making a lot of noises. India is also super quiet, so is Pakistan, Saudi Arabia etc etc and most of Asean member countries including our Malaysia. Do you think the US would sit idly if China or Russia were to station troops/missiles in hostile Central American countries like Nicaragua, El Salvador, Cuba etc. I don't support Russia's attack on Ukraine. Back to you lad.

If it was US conducting the invasion, whole world will be making noise.

Russia have conducted invasions in Afghanistan, Georgia, Crimea, Chechnya and now Ukraine but the world hardly make noise..

"If it was US conducting the invasion, whole world will be making noise."
DickyMe3 Not true. When the US attacked Iraq in 1990, no country made any noise. However, when it bypassed the UN to attack Iraq again in 2003, it was roundly condemned by many countries. Many other countries, especially those far, far away from the war zones chose to keep quiet.

"Russia have conducted invasions in Afghanistan, Georgia, Crimea, Chechnya and now Ukraine but the world hardly make noise."

Just Google "List of wars involving the US" and "Countries attacked by the US since World War 2"

IN 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait and UN approved. Many countries involved. Singly out US shows bias and hatred towards US. Many Islamic countries including Malaysia made noise about this.

When you claimed China, inspired by Russia might attack Taiwan, did you have hatred towards China?

It was not an attack but to help Kuwait to fight off the invader, approved by UN.

Understand difference between invasion and intervention.

"Underline the word "might" and pick up a dictionary to know the meaning..

You wrote "Taiwan invasion coming?, China inspired by Russia?"
What was the message you were trying to convey?
I suggest you listen to KIshore Mahbubani/Vijay Prashad's talks/interviews on Youtube and come back to me if you think they hate the US.

"When the US attacked Iraq in 1990, no country made any noise"
That was what I wrote in one of my earlier posts. No country complained because the attack was justified. There were numerous other unjustified attacks/invasions.
