No new short positions for this week. With the little spurt in price on Thursday (intraday low 8.89) and Friday (intraday high of 9.06) the shorts didn't enter the game for a quick flip.
To summarise the last two weeks of shorts, only one day of 800 with the other 9 days of 0. A positive sign? Who knows~~

Short covering for the current three days of reported figures of this week = 62,700.
Thursday and Friday's figures wont be available until late next week due to the public holidays.

Going to busy over the next few days as I organise to Patent the new "tingling nether regions" indicator, which seemed to be quite successful on Thursday :)

@choysun, the amount of tingling that would create would possibly require a change of undies every hour! :)

There is a lot of work to be done before we start fantasising about Rm10 tickets and ladies in push up bras and panties. For the immediate short term I'd suggest we look at the 9.10/9.12 and 9.20/9.22 price points with perhaps a gradual increase in volume.

If/when these points can be breached, then we can reassess. A long journey starts with small steps, so keep the faith :)

Technically, nothing has changed much over the last two weeks. It still needs to break the 9.10/9.12 price point, then onto 9.20/9.22 if the price gets some traction.

This morning's early and very short lived rise to 9.10 doesn't mean much yet.

Keep an eye on the volume.
If it can close above 9.05 with at least 5 million traded, then there might be some hope for an eventual move.

The recent crappy market has helped the shorters play a bit, especially on the Friday after the Raya break. However that has all been covered plus more, in the past week.

Qtrly report coming next week if no delay. Important milestone . Should be able achieve >17B Revenue and >1 Billion PBT. This will make way for better qtrly for the entire year . Need to see how the coal price impact and if any propose increase of the ICPT surcharge due to this.

The R1 point has fallen and now there have been regular little walls being built at R2 point 9.20 over the past two days.
If/when this is broken then I'd be looking at 9.27 and 9.32.

Overall market sentiment is as much a test as the resistance points.
