YTLP more than 4000 transmission tower is value asset, with mostly of these tower set up within school compound and its rental free (other telco need to rent their tower at cost RM 1.200-1800 pmth). Although YTLP is expanding these tower mainly for Wimax coverage, but all the tower are LTE ready, and YTLP is target to launched its maiden LTE 4G these year, focus on urban area.

Based YTLC CEO indicate, its Yes Wimax have subscriber base reach more than 700,000. But one single customer MOE have 1 million potential customer alone under 1BestariNet plan, student + teacher + parents, but are lump sum FOC for them provided by MOE which need to pay annual service fee RM 300m/yr for YTLP under 15 year contract

100% rental free, as according to MOE, the tower is set up to provide Wimax to entire school compound. However, these transmission tower have very wide coverage, 4km radius, thus it can cover all school primary or secondary school within these radius. therefore, no all school need to set up such tower, average 1 tower is sufficient to cover 3 primary/secondary school. As whole area within 4 km radius also include other neighborhood housing area, it can extend its service for commercial use.

Even Bank Negara wan to intervene by raising interest, also no point, as the root cause is country mismanagement, corruption and outflow capital.....

Hng: buying ytlp-wb now is it a case of be greedy when others are fearful? Do you forsee a good rebound in the forseeable future? Isn't unfavourable knee-jerk reaction to ytlpwr not getting 3B a concern?

First of all, where can we find bluechip warrant that trade at discount, but still have 4.5year lifespan in stock market?

About unfavourable knee-jerk reaction to ytlpwr IF not getting 3B... already mention here previously, there is minimal impact of YTLP earning even after its IPP expire in next year Sept, as it is offset by expected turnaround of its Yes broadband after completion of 1BestariNet project end of last year.

About 3B project, which is only about to contribute earning later 2018/2019 and its internal rate return only at 6-8% the most, if failed to secure now, YTLP future potential earning growth from 3B can be easily replace by its Enefit Jordan project, oil shale production and power plant, which also ready by 2017-2019. The construction of its first power plant 540MW is scheduled to commence these year after its have secure financing US 1.4bilion from Bank of China and Industrial Commercial bank of China.

Hapseng and wa stock are at highest share level since listing....support by company share buyback as well, reaching 9.34% currently. Comparing to YTLP and wb, share price only in the midst to recover after slumping from 2 year ago due to the loss incur by its Yes broadband and cut in quarterly dividend. Therefore, if yes broadband can turnaround these year onward + continuous share buyback, share price should recover back. YTLP current treasury already reach 9.11%, and its expect reach maximum in another a month time. If YTLP opt for second cancellation, it can continue buyback additional 10% based on reduce total number volume that take into account its second treasury 10% cancellation

Slightly below my expectation, buyback rate at 82% of today total volume

Posted by Fat Cat Tim Buddy > 2014-01-23 17:41 | Report Abuse

why dont epf just direct sell 3-5 % to ytlpower at a fixed price.. lets say RM 1.95 , can save a lot of the transaction fees lo, just saying

EPF still have 6.51% stake, base on 20 Jan record, total volume traded 2.51m, epf disposed 1.8m share (72% of total volume), but sbb volume on that day accumulate 2.15m share (86% of total volume). Expect the same trend in which main seller volume from epf is all absorb by buyer sbb in next few days once epf announce it disposal volume on 21, 22 and today 23.

It simply cannot be done.....epf sell stake direct to sbb.....no no.. This is off market deal which only can involve company major shareholder like Yeoh family or other parties deal with epf, it CANNOT be epf deal with YTLP company itself through sbb

Still have balance quota of 0.83%, if based on current speed of buyback, about 0.05% per day, these quota need 17 trading days or about 1 month time to fully utilize.

Current main seller is from epf, still hold 6.51%, if epf still wan to retain its status as major shareholder of YTLP, it need to maintain at lest 5% stake, which mean, it will have maximum sellerable stake 1.5%, about half of the remaining sbb can absorb into treasury.

Of course, if YTLP decide to cancel even before its treasury reach maximum of 10%, it will grant addition new 10% quota to buyback, but these 10% is based on already reduce total volume after treasury cancelled or amount another 9% if based on current total volume.

Many trader/investor are busy taking profit for upcoming CNY....Good for them

For long term investor, no need to worry much, just stay invested as YTLP are in infrastructure business, needed in everyday life: power, water, sewerage, broadband, so can sleep well, have nothing to worry.

Most likely its power plant in Paka and Pasir Gudang after expire will sell back to TNB as its backup power plant. The selling price will depend on Gov, TNB and YTLP negotiation. These power plant unlikely to undergo dismantle as setting up new such power plant, will cost at least RM 5 billion. Even, the power plant have more than 20year old, but as long as its broiler still functional, it can be reserve as back up power plant in future.

Alternatively, YTLP will wan to proceed to power generation even without concession agreement, act as freelance....Its plant can supply power at very low price to TNB as it cost merely from freed stock gas only + afford profit margin 5% only. Unlikely current IPP and TNB own power plant, their cost is much higher as it need to input its power construction cost in + freed stock gas + expected profit margin 10%
