YTLP sbb still stick to principal strategy to buyback as much volume but at lowest possible cost. As long as sbb continue and buyback rate above 60% of daily total volume, due to supply and demand factor + the fact that only accumulation from open market without distribution back, free float will decreasing bit by but, share price will gradually in upward bias.

For the coming Q report, is it true that the EPS will increase by about 9% even if the sbb share is not cancelled yet? Since the eps is dividing by less share now?

Whether or not YTLP can stay above 1.88 or breaking resistance level at 1.90, all depend on seller....if seller willing to sell at lower price, sbb just need to wait to absorb, if seller van hold back, then sbb will force to engulf at higher bid.

partly also because sbb cannot just buy-in in large scale as their 10% ceiling is nearly filling up.
need to use sbb with cautious till another round of cancellation take place.

With current treasury stock at 8.77%, there is still remaining 1.23% available quota. Based on current speed of buyback %, 0.01-0.02%, its still need to take about 3 month (60 trading days) to accumulate. The low buyback % is largely due to current low free float (<10%) share and low trading volume, despite sbb still keep on buyback rate above 70% of daily volume.

If we check back previous sbb buyback record, the increase in buyback % is direct relation with increase in trade volume, which mean if volume is increase, sbb accumulate much more share.....the major characteristic is that whenever there was big seller volume ahead, like 1m share, most often sbb like to engulf. However, current situation has change, there is no more big seller volume queue ahead....sbb becoming less motivated.....less volume accumulation despite maintain buyback rate above 70% of daily volume.

1.23% around 88m shares. 88/2 = 44 trading days. around 2.5 - 3 months. in end MAR 2014 sbb will be dried up.

hng33

Nonetheless, if sbb like to take more initiative, to move up bid higher in order to seduce more seller volume, e.g. move up share price above resistance level 1.90 or even RM 2.00, it will definitely encounter more seller volume, then the current remaining quota can be fill up in just few days.

The good thing is that sbb seem taking action now :)

Cancellation of treasury share is a matter of management decision, its a matter of time and wait the extend that if quota almost full.

AGM already approve board to buyback up to 10% treasury, if cancel, can continue buyback another 10% base on reduce total volume

Good strategy adopt by sbb nowadays. Move up bid to seduce seller volume, but at the same time keep on another strategy to buy as much volume but at lowest possible cost.

e.g. by keep buy bid in lower volume then seller volume to encourage seller to give up their share and later quick top up buy volume again in order to accumulate more volume, repeat again again

WB still less confident, awaiting for more clearer upward from its mum...too bad, already fully invested already....concentrate only two stocks in portfolio now. YTLP-WB (82%)and TMS (18%)

Ha! if up 1 or 2sen still failed to buyback more share, sbb need more aggressive already, as seller volume is getting smaller now as most of the motivated seller already give up their share and absorb back by sbb.
