But its ok, who knows some big news suddenly come out. Will never know. But for now, it doesnt look good. More worried if it was just a scam to push prices up so the Big Timers can pull out before the company close shop.

The Company wishes to announce that it has on 23 March 2021 received a Statutory Demand (“Statutory Demand”) dated 23 March 2021 from Scomi Energy Services Bhd (“SESB”) for the sum of RM56,609,918.27 (“Demanded Sum”).

BACKGROUND AND CIRCUMSTANCES LEADING TO THE STATUTORY DEMAND
a) The Demanded Sum originally arose due to the summary judgement order by the High Court of Shah Alam (“Judgement Order”) on 26 November 2020 (please refer to announcement dated 26 November 2020 for details).

b) The Company is currently appealing the decision on the Judgement Order (please refer to announcement dated 10 December 2020).

2. LEGAL IMPLICATIONS OF THE STATUTORY DEMAND

If the Company fails to settle the Statutory Demand within 21 days from the receipt of the notice, SESB has the right to proceed with winding-up proceedings against the Company.

3. BUSINESS, OPERATIONAL, FINANCIAL IMPACT AND THE EXPECTED LOSS FROM THE STATUTORY DEMAND

a) Business And Operational Impact From The Statutory Demand

There are no business and operational impact of the Statutory Demand on SGB currently except the potential winding-up proceedings that SESB is able to institute against the Company.

b) Financial Impact And The Expected Losses From The Statutory Demand

There is no expected financial impact and expected losses from the Statutory Demand currently.

4. MEASURES TAKEN TO ADDRESS THE STATUTORY DEMAND

SGB is presently in the process of commencing a resolution with SESB.
