It is less 20 pct...looks like , 2013 total earnings will be less than 2012 ....if div total rm 80 in 2012 , will be abt 5pct only

pioneer status expired already, no more super profit

the pioneer status previously enjoyed by the subsidiary, Uchi Optoelectronic (M) Sdn. Bhd., expired on December 31, 2012. This means that profit generated from such products commencing January 1, 2013 will be subject to a corporate tax of 25%.The Group have submitted the application for pioneer status for our new products in September 2012 but, to date, have not received a reply from the relevant authorities. The Group is also experiencing a wage hike due to the implementation of minimum wage policies in Malaysia and China.

Cant find any updates on the renewal of pioneer stautus renewal. EPS is dropped this 3 qtrs. Very concerned indeed...my capital gain almost gone liao. 2013 is bad year for UCHI

if EPS drop continue to drop then cannot expect the same levels of Dividends....so the yield will also drop.

looking at past finance data. I think Uchitect maybe facing yoy losses in coming earning annoucement.

Profit After Tax for 2013 so far is only $23,724,000 compare to 2012 $44,831,000 yoy. Assuming Uchi going to get same PAT as Q4'12 which is $14mil, the best could achieved will be $37,812,000 , that is still 15.7% losses yoy in my assumptions.

It maybe the exchange rate will help a bit to boost up the earning but let's see what gonna be the result. I think they will annouce 6 cents div , to make it total 10 cents for FY13 due to losses.

Just my opinion, to date i am not holding any shares in Uchitec...
