Intraday short-selling (IDSS) and intraday short-selling by proprietary day traders (PDT short sale) will resume on Jan 1, 2022 as the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia Bhd will lift the temporary suspension as scheduled.

LONDON: The British government on Friday reported 93,045 new coronavirus cases, a third consecutive record daily tally, as the Omicron variant fuels a surge in infections across the country.

Scotlandinister Nicola Sturgeon said Omicron is now the country's dominant coronavirus strain, adding "the tsunami I warned about a week ago is now starting to hit us."

SinGor, your information is false. Malaysian gloves from TG, Harta, Kossan and Spermax are the best quality glove in the world.
US only has 3 manufacturing glove plants and these have very small production lines. US does not have the capacity to even support 1 state in the US.
The reason USA has imposed Tariff on Chinese Glove is because of non compliance to agreed reporting standards and tension in Taiwan.
Also there could be evidence of force labour.

If the foreign-sourced income is received in Malaysia by residents during the period of Jan 1, 2022, to June 30, 2022, the Malaysian government is offering a low rate of 3% of the gross amount. I surmise that this is like a promotional offer to encourage residents to bring their money home.

By implication, if the remittance occurs after June 30, 2022, the amount will be aggregated with the other sources of income and be subject to tax at the respective tax rates. This means that a resident company will be taxed at 24% while the resident individual will suffer the tax rate applicable to his income band.

once you add Supermax "new" 19 Billion, total "new" capacity in North America will way exceed 50 billion per year.

I believe the 50 billion "new" capacity is under-counting "new" capacity.

SinGor is correct, North America is self sufficient in Gloves.
=> Thats how US behaves, once self sufficient, you will see tariffs.

i advise long term investor to stay away from TG until IDSS and RSS positions are reduced to 0.5%. Right now there is a repeated Trading pattern, Up in the morning and Down Afternoon( and the Volume is Not small ) This is A made in Heaven pattern for Retailers IDSS. I think Big Boys
RSS foresaw IDSS will help them to push price Lower. As you can see TG RSS position has not changed eventhough Super and Harta are declining daily

Weird actually when I hear people keep talking about overflooding with glove, this logic is same for everything with production, then every production company will soon be in losses? I am just thinking are we trying to said that after this pandemic so called over, TG profit will be even lesser than pre-pandemic which is 300-450 million per year? Means TG profit will keep dropping below 400 million per year as this will be a shocking progress.....which will the reason I believe TG will drop below 1 THEN if this is what people believe in few years time?

As a company that still in great profit compare to pre-pandemic and even still in good growth progress with non-stop profit, the worst already factor into the price already, dropping till new low below RM2, surely everyone will not be optimistic that this will be go back to pandemic era sky high price but not till treated as rubbish stock that will drop below 1? KUALA LUMPUR: The one-off windfall tax or Cukai Makmur (Prosperity Tax) announced last Friday in the 2022 Budget is estimated to generate at least RM3 billion in revenue for the government.

Deputy Finance Minister II Yamani Hafez Musa said the tax will be imposed on companies with taxable income of more than RM100 million in 2022.

"The first RM100 million taxable income is taxed at a rate of 24 per cent and the rest at a rate of 33 per cent on a 'one-off' basis.
