世界杯内容成本高企，Astro（ASTRO，6399，主板电信与媒体股）截至今年7月杪的2019财年次季，净利暴跌93.27%至1657万9000令吉，但仍派息每股2.5仙。

次季营业额稳定，仅年减0.23%至14亿1643万9000令吉。

累积上半年，净利报1亿9130万8000令吉或每股3.67仙，年跌56.73%。

营业额报27亿2737万9000令吉，年跌0.67%。

行家建议

公司上半年核心净利报2.393亿令吉，按年跌44.6%，低于我们与市场的预测，仅占全年预测的33.2%和35.4%。

因此，我们下调2019至2021财年的盈利预测，幅度分别为15.5%、14.0%、11.9%，至6.102亿令吉、7.142亿令吉、7.233亿令吉，主要考量到广告收入下跌，以及折旧与摊销成本走高。

逊色的业绩可能会引发股价下跌的反射效应，但我们估计未来业绩将复苏，因为内容成本在2018世界杯后将恢复正常。

我们把目标价从1.65令吉，上修至1.95令吉，评级也提高至“买入”。

2019至2021财年的周息率高达6.0%至6.6%，将可支撑股价走势。

Astro would be die because PH government wanted TM,Maxis, Celcom n more company to reduce the market price but increase their services plan.This action would be giving peoples using high speed line to do everything included watch dramas, movies n others.Sunset industry already.

subscription sure drop due to conman job. I've just cut off the subscription. every month, it will ''purposely make service out of service to force us pay repair service cost. this is conman tactic on innocent customers....no wonder all fleece

Most of my relatives and friends are still subscribing astro. True, business model needs to change in order to do better in the future as new gen likes to steal copyright content and watch low quality video in small screens. Astro needs to collaborate with Maxis to create more internet based content.
