Big boys are resting today, preparing for Merdeka Day celebrations tomorrow so you don't see better performance with improved quarterly results. No reason for its price to stay at this level for a prolonged period. Most IBs have buy calls on this counter.

Yes agreed with you. As Velesto posted continuous profit by right, this should attract EPF to join in. Maybe their dividend is not favourable for them, but changes are likely.

Rwan88, I don't know how many shares EPF has but it is not among the top 30 largest shareholders. Amanah Saham Bumiputra and PNB control over 40% of its shareholdings. Quite safe to invest at this level.

No worries. Kenanga used the same news over and over again. It's considered factored in. Velesto already secured solid contracts. The only problem that we need to look ahead to is the oil price and other market sentiment.

KUALA LUMPUR: Velesto Energy Bhd has completed its mandatory five-yearly special periodical survey (SPS) for Naga 2.

Naga 2 completed SPS in 2 qtr. In 3 qtr, most probably Naga 5 and follow up by Naga 6 in the decent planning sequence. From 2nd QTR prospective, it is very clear that even with one rig under SPS, they still can deliver excellent QTR. Why?

Malaysia CAN export Oil bcos of population Size. Thai, Vietnam, Indo, Bangla All has coastal Oil Deposit
but their Oil exploration is way behind Malaysia in Size bcos their Economy just Exploded at the same
time as China ( 2000--2020 ). ( Malaysia Oil exploration date back in 1960 )
Population dictates Oil consumption--Thailand & Vietnam are pumping hundreds of million to Find Oil---
You really think Velesto has to depend on Petronas ---By the way Thailand pays more for Velesto Rigs than

The deal is not yet over. It looks like Petronas is not going to give it up easily, and there might be some sort of government intervention in it. It was all about government royalty from Petronas. If Petronas revenue decreases, so will the government revenue. Think who will win the court case?

If Petros then Velesto share --------------will be flat for some time.

given many good news & recent good quarter report, but the price is still going further down, my interest to stay investing is start to fade. at least, stay above 0.20 cent. but keep on going down since the first quarter result, it's not something to be celebrated.. I am thinking to cut loss already.

Given what you said up there this means the stock is undervalued and being pressured by market decline O&G prices declined
I think you should be buying more at this point and waiting for market and sector correction

Must understand, the market sentiment drags the price down not because of Velesto performance. 3 reasons for that

1st dispute between Petronas and Sarawak  government (still on going)

2nd oil price drop

3rd recession fear shadowing the investors. 

Wait for the court verdict in between Petronas and Sarawak government dispute...then everything might change.

Other O&G counters also drop (Armada, and Perdana)..even those who invest in Armada and Perdana also cursing... there's nothing we can do.
