RM4 just a matter of time. If you are privileged to have access to information on Texchem's coming performance and their growth outlook, then anything below RM4 is just an easy investment decision. Tutup mata beli saja.
Congrats to the early investors and congrats in advance to those who are making the decision today to have a position in the amazing businesses of Texchem.

I think with borders reopening and anticipated 2 million tourists in MY for this year, it’s likely their Sushi King biz will grow (locals, tourists). I’m actually more excited about their TEXa biz, still handsome profits and is a ESG (the E) biz

TEXCHEM
Strong buying momentum explained (and why investors find it still very cheap!!)
- total shares only 124 million
- at today's closing RM3.6, market cap only RM449m
They reported Q1 PAT RM13m,
assuming full year 4 quarters
RM15m x 4 = RM60m PAT
- Giving a conservative PE 15x, market cap = RM900m
- 900m market cap / 124m shares = RM7.25
Next year possibly can hit RM20m PAT per quarter with expansion of restaurant and food biz, with higher PE for high growth....
RM20m x 4 = RM80m
RM80m × PE20 = RM1.6b?
RM1.6b / 124m = RM12.9 per share?

When you match Texchem's earnings record and the growth potential, then you would realize that the rise in share price is not scary at all... It is backed by practical finance theory and simple mathematics. Suddenly it makes total sense.
It is simply a value-discovery phenomenon which happens every year in Bursa where multi-baggers outperform the entire market.
Question is, are you intimidated purely by the price action, or do you understand the story behind to know that it is not magic but logic?
Big whales don't want you to know the sushi story because they wanna grab the whole buffet to themselves at below RM4.50-5.00! But in this new world of free market, everyone should prosper together.
And nobody should miss this Stock of The Year 2022.

The 28% remaining SK acquisition will have Goodwill of 83.92m that to be impaired within 5 years on a 12%-14% discount factor. That’s alone about 15m per year. Plus capex 10m per year, plus additional 20m+ per year to AYI.
It has to be perform very well otherwise loss making to be expected in the initial year after the acquisition.

Sam, not laughing at you lah! But in many cases, if a company don’t perform well, losses can happen lor :)

Anthony , haha i just confused what Gen2 say ... Is that texchem become shariah stock ?
Sam, Gen2 (as well as others, incl myself) can do his own calculated projections. His post was solely on Sushi King
My bets were not only on Sushi King but the huge potential in their polymer (TEXa brand) biz. This is the E in ESG. Please browse thoroughly Texchem’s website
And, yes, Texchem became a shariah stock this week

This whole week the buying was weak. Likely investors bought to support major drop (happened a few times this week) due to calculations. Long time investors took profit, less and less potential investors jumping in (they’re watching tho…….)

what are the benefits when it is a shariah-complaint?"
==========================
Maybe entitled to government bailout!
Risktrader, many investors/traders will never buy a non-shariah counter due to their religious beliefs. It’s completely understandable. Perhaps news of this will break by some media outlets and volume (good, or bad) will go north

Dicky, that is absolutely unproven. But if a takeover happens, may it be a great deal for shareholders. Even then, it will result in an EGM
But I seriously doubt it. Why should they?
I have been their shareholder since Jan.21, I had try to contact their finance since last two weeks and email to their cfo this week. Yet no reply at all pertaining to my query to the high goodwill generated. How are they going to do the test of impairment ? What discount factor ? No answer at all.
On polymer side, I guessed they might do well.
On food and restaurant side, Q2 is too excited with crowded people in the mall, heavy traffic everywhere. But what will happened after normalisation, would it be still the first option people think when think about sushi ?
Moreover, they have to pay AYI around 20+m per year. Their cash flow isn’t the same prior to the acquisition.
On industrial side, if their concentration is put on glove chemical I think they have over optimistic about how the glove market is performing now. Go see how many glove factory has shut or reduced their capacity.
