PUTRAJAYA ( April 25): Malaysia’s inflation stayed at 1.8% in March 2024 from a month ago, according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM).
The reading in March 2024 was driven mainly by housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels (3.0%); and restaurant and accommodation services (3.0%).
Other items that also contributed to the reading were personal care, social protection and miscellaneous goods & services (2.6%), as well as transport (1.3%), among others.
However, the increase has been offset by the other main groups which recorded a slower increase, namely health (2.1%); food & beverages (1.7%), and recreation, sports & culture (1.5%).
