Ms. Lung started her Diplomatic and Administrative service career in the government in 1996 as Assistant Secretary at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN). She has over 30 years of experience in the civil service with considerable knowledge in policy development and finance after working in various ministries and government departments including 9 years of experience in the Ministry of Finance handling budgeting, international finance and public asset management as well as regulating the gaming industry. Prior to her retirement which took effect from 2 January 2024, she held positions such as Director of K-Economy Division in the Ministry of Economy and Senior Director of Coordination and Monitoring Section and thereafter, Senior Director of Facilitation Fund Section in the Public Private Partnership Unit (UKAS) in the Prime Minister's Department. Besides being proficient in budgeting, public asset management and project management, she also possesses personal qualities that helped propelled her career such as versatility, detail-driven and strong work ethic.
