TTB is right that the existence of COL is the reason for the large discount. This is cited by one of the early research papers. In this case, the reason is obvious. COL wants to buy cheap and induce disgruntled minority shareholders to vote against the BOD.

Judging from pass AGM voting results, TTB controls less than 30% and was decreasing over time. COL is only short of 10m shares to bring down the BOD.

No one is qualified to judge others. DK removed his articles because he said he won't be here to defend them. I have read all his articles and all the information given by DK turned out to be right. His profit forecast for JHDP was a very close call. I agree that DK was inexperience when dealing with his haters in i3 so he left. There is nothing wrong with leaving i3 when you don't like the place. After all, i3 is not a nice place for sharing. I notice that there are lesser people sharing their ideas in i3 nowadays. Why should they ?

Fyi Im still holding Jaks stock with about 30% paper loss, so Im in the same boat as you if you are Jaks stock holder.
Would like to know the source of info regarding Jaks hold 3 out of 5 board seats, as I m quite curious how with China CPECC 70% stake they would allow Jaks to control JHDP boardroom.

It's Compounding, FYI Jaks currently has 3 out of 5 board seats in JHDP. It is common sense that Jaks will see that the dividend be distributed so that it can take up the additional 10%.

So, cannot anyhow promote, but can anyhow demote??

The profit from JHDP is real. The profit is kept outside malaysia to avoid tax on foreign source income. Profit for the first 3 years will be utilised for the subscription of optional additional 10% ownership in JHDP at cost plus interest. This will increase its future annual profit contribution from JHDP by 33% from about RM150m to RM200m.

As of now, Jaks is low risk while Toyo is high risk simply because Jaks' power plant has already began commercial operation and Jaks will have consistent RM150m to RM200m profit sharing annually for the next 24 years, while Toyo is still waiting for Vietnam approval and a formal JV partner to take on the construction of the power plant which will take 48 - 54 months to build. If you are referring to potential return on share investment, toyo which has much higher risk will have much higher return if it is successful in getting the project going failing which your investment may suffer total loss as Toyo has sailang everything on Song Hau 2 power plant project.

Toyo did ask for extension of time. Just they keep very low profile esp CEEC, project partner.

Coward head, if you don't know, do you homework properly. Don't mislead people. Where got 30% free shares for Jaks major shareholder. Total LTIP is 15% of which only 60% can be given free. The rests are ESOS where recipients have to pay at certain prices.

The solid toyo major shareholder integrity is upper class if compared to jaks major shareholder. Jaks reward major shareholder himself with free 30% jaks share through incentive share grant, benefit owe at expense of all minority shareholder

Also, did Toyo seek further time extension to secure financial closing ? Why wasn't it granted further time extension ?

Normally, a formal JV with a delivery partner is signed before securing financial closing but not in Toyo's case.
