PNB, KWAP still buying. Good sign
2017-07-09 11:51 | Report Abuse
Looks like perstistent buying buy big funds continues. Agree with @sogeking that oil movement has less impacting Senergy price movement.
After all, when crude oil price crash to 23 usd/barrel last year, the lowest price for Senergy was 1.33. It then rallied to 2.00++ in line with recovery in crude oil price.
With crude oil price almost double now from last years' low, downside looks like quite limited at this price level. We may not revisit 1.53 level for now.

Russia decided not to join further cuts and caused crude to tumble almost 2% earlier today.
The fact that it has rebounded strongly now may well suggest the bull is in control. Summer season hopefully will reduce inventory in the physical market which is all good for the price moving forward.

Indeed, it doesnt affecting much.
But the fact that there is heavy accummulation by big funds may provide some indication on what to do with Senergy at this price level i.e hold, top up or slowly accummulate.
Ultimately the oil price movement will dictate energy counters' movement. And the good thing is, the oil price rebounded from 45 dollar level and looks set to rechallenge its uptrend resistance at 58 level (brent) in the immediate term ( 3 months)
I wish everyone make money and happy. Good luck all....

K.v. Lim.... hope Brent can sustain or move higher tonight. Then good chance for it to test 1.75 in the near term.
Currently, the number of traders that place short on crude oil is at all time high.... hence many contrarians are slowly making a buy call on energy sector... worst maybe over for now.
Smart money may beat the crowd once again this time.

FGV has been fair to Z by granting extension until next Thursday.
Now Z has to be fair to FGV. Either answer or just pack your bag.
Do not drag everybody in this whole mess.

Yes kakashi... oil rebound more than 2%, how can SENERGY drop tomorrow? Most like likely up!!!
Plus I have the feeling that syndicates use the not so inspiring quarterly result to press down the price these few days. From 1.90 level, down to 1.53 lowest today.
That is a whopping 20%. What has changed fundamentally? Not much really....Plus SENERGY will start supplying gas to Petronas in Q4 this year and that shud be plus point to me.
Good luck all....

Azhar the ex Malakof MD must have something secured for him before resigning.
I concur with the view that Zakaria will be out. After all, Isa already hinting it by saying
"Nobody will win, nobody will lose". Perhaps some token is planned for Zakaria as well.
The only thing is how long the FGV internal investigation may take to come out with their
verdict?
Worst case scenario, may take a while to conclude. Most likely after Raya. This is not
favorable to the share price unfortunately.
Best case scenario, before raya and immediately announce replacement before Raya break.
After all, PM said he wants the crisis to be settled before Raya isnt it?
Technically, FGV may retest downtrend line after recent breakout located at 1.69/1.70.
Hope this holds. Otherwise we may see further consolidation will take place.

Lets give a bit more time for Shahrir, Sulaiman and FGV itself to do what they plan to i.e improve corporate governance and instil market confidence.
Next quarterly report in Aug may be a good opportunity to reassess ones decision. After all Shahrir has openly declare in the Star that the share should be worth 2.50-3.00.
Time will tell.

High likelihood MSM will record better profit next quarter. Raw sugar price drop 40-50%.
Good for FGV too.
If Safitex manage to settle the payment by end of this month (as implied by Zakaria earlier), the. They can reverse the impairment this coming quarter, believe to be around RM 30 mil
And one more thing is the sale of AXA insurance to Affin in which the negotiation is still ongoing.
These above is on top of their normal palm oil business. Looking forward for next q result in August!!

Relax la, the big elephant in the room is no more there. Give time for new chairman to start his work to turnaround FGV.
One thing for sure, Shahrir is the new King of Felda and indirectly FGV now. Judging by his statement, he believe FGV has potential and current value should be 2.50-3.00 right? Even the new FGV chairman want to correct the wrongs in FGV. So it should recover slowly from now on.
And if I recall, one of the main reason EPF exited FGV was due to poor financial standing and weak management/governance. Even Idris Jala also highlighted in the findings report.
One thing for sure actions are in place to address those concern and the share price shall recover along the way. To be safe, go long with FGV if one do not wish to be subjected to daily price volatility.
Long FGV!!

Not a bad closing. Green in the middle of red sea.
One thing for sure thing are not gonna be the same again for FGV. Surely after Pendek is out,
It is for the better, not worse.
All the best!!! Long FGV is the name of the game!!!

Goods news from EU last week. The court of appeal rule out no-palm oil label which is deemed discrimanotory. And they are open to MSPO to be fully adopted by Malaysia by 2019. This is positive for CPO price and Malaysia as EU is the largest market for Malaysian CPO last year, in excess of RM 10b export.
Also, there is one small article in NST which says Isa Chairmanship is untenable and he may go as early as next week!!!
Let see how things unfold

On Zakaria, who is currently on an indefinite leave of absence at the request of the FGV board, Shahrir says: “As an investor (Felda), I will read on the chairman’s statements in FGV’s recent annual reports.
“The FGV chairman in his statements in the 2015 and 2016 annual reports was full of praise for Zakaria for his efforts particularly in turning around Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd as well as strict cost-cutting measures to improve the overall operations of FGV.”

Too many issues and dissatisfactions among ppl currently due to 1MDB, Felda etc.
If pendek can be kicked out this time, at least that will bring back some support to
the PM.
That may prove to be the easiest, fastest and cheapest way of gaining the support from the ppl that matters most in the next election i.e felda settlers

FGV clearly management issue.
The previous Felda Chaiman was Raja Muhammad Alias. He left felda with billions in cash in the company.
Now, he is the Chairman of KLK. And KLK has made stellar profit again and again.
FGV has enormous potential. Just need a capable and credible caretaker.
