When it comes to 8.80, I thought it is cheap and I bought 10,000 shares for RM88,000/-, today it comes down drastically to 8,100, I have already lost of RM7,000/-. I do not know what is wrong with this company, it made profit and declared dividend recently, The investment research teams keep on saying HOLD> HOLD, HOLD, target Price RM11.00 , unfortunately, it keeps on doing slimming excercise, from RM9.00 to RM8.15. eventually i do not know how low it will be. anyone can provide me with good answers. thanks.

Viewing the last 5 years historic trading Charts, you will notice that the highest trading price was RM36.95 done on April 2019. RM8.15 is the lowest trading price done for today. Will it go down further or will rebound soon ? any good predictor or foreteller to say somethings on it. Thanks.

Beware sunset business.
Business EPS and DPS CAGR negative 12% per annum CAGR, price dropped similarly.
Follow long term fundamentals and follow long term price trend. When fundamentals and technical drops like this past 10 years, with no reversals, avoid. Don't be a hero to predict change in fundamentals and change in price trends - that is low probability game and more likely, you will lose out to EPF.

Yes, it's not the price of the stock...nor current dividends. Yes, there are too many unknowns about Bat...illicit cig sales, govt intervention, people going for safer products etc. If someone held on to bat when it was 13, the capital loss from 13$, is huge...and those dividends can't even Recoup your capital.
Bat is on trend of lower lows. Wondering what will trigger share price uptrend.

For those really cash rich can afford to buy for dividends, but careful about unrecoupable capital losses. One main rule is not to loose your capital.
For medium bilis like us, we need to be very very careful. Bilis like us, cannot afford to wait on sidelines for the next 5 to 10 years.

My opinion is politicians will not promote cig smoking but it's already good that they did not ban cigs.
For those who still buy, trust you can recoup. It's quite possible that we are nearing lows but again unknown is whether big funds are still interested in Bat..?

It was really a shock that from 8.55-8.60 dropping to 8.08 in 2 days then jumped back to 8.21-8.22 when market closed. It is the pessimistic of many retail investors in past 2-3 months have made the share prices to fall from 9.00 to below 8.30 in past 1 month plus. Main factor still below average quarterly profit in previous quarter. Those monitor BAT should pay more attention to how BAT new products doing in vape market. With the current share price, it is strange that still hundred of people keep saying the risk n bad of BAT, those should be previous share holders who have lost some money or luckily sold all the share before 9.50 or 10.00......It seems like quite bad performance in past 2-3 quarter but it is hope that the company can maintain PAT of more than 50-52 million again if BAT can perform in vape market.

The simple way to see the market is this: If more people still think that BAT is too expensive, i.e. lack of ppl grabbing the tickets, sharks will have no choice but to sell even cheaper- unless they can sell some temptingly convincing rumours or news for bilises to buy in again (of course, they would when the time is right! So, stay tune. Take the front seat timely) . So, never fall in love with any particular counter.

BAT no more stock market darling of yesteryears. In actual fact, it is considered a sunset industry.
Why it can give up to 95% dividend cover ratio? Clearly it is not going to spend anymore Capex.
No tangible asset, goodwill 411 million. Just having outdated machinery worth 65 million with lease liability 34 million. Total liabilities 801 million is more than total assets (less goodwill 411 million). That is to say, if company wind up today, you are not going to get a single sen.

Obviously it is not worth to wait for 10% dividend yield as you are getting paid through your own pocket. At 8.13, you can exchange for 3 Crescendo shares. Crescendo going to announce Q4 result by end of this month. Expecting it to declare not less than 20 sen per share. So for 3 Crescendo shares, you will get 60 sen dividend by August.

ks55 BAT is a sunset industry. No tangible asset. If company decided to cash out, buyer will not offer good value for its listing status.

Goodwill merely due to the brand. Market shrinking, profit shrinking, dividend also shrinking.

Crescendo going to announce Q4 result by end of this month. Predict it will make a total 20 sen from normal business operation after tax. Since there was no interim dividend paid, couple with extra ordinary gain from land disposal, there is no need to retain more cash then necessary. Expecting it to declare not less than 20 sen per share by end of the month.

Proceed from land sale to Microsoft already received in Feb. Proceed from the other 2 land sales expected o come in by 3rd quarter. Profit from land sales will cushion capital expenditure, and further 100 acres industrial land in NCIP disposal may be materialized within this year. So another 500 million from land sales is awaiting. No point keeping so much cash unless go for further landbanking exercise.
