Base on the DY... 1 year atleast 16-20sen...(3.5-4%) the profit still stable .. regarding the share price.. Maxis not alone.. IOICORP , and others index stock are dropping as well
Now obviously digi and axiata has more upperhand after merge. However, I still insist to buy on Maxis because the share price has been drop until 52 week lowest and even lesser due to declining profit and lack of catalyst. Digi and Axiata price has rebound from the lowest since after the merger news. Anyway, I am here to collect dividend.
Just have a small position for telco sector here. Don't want to miss the fun once we have 5G or 6G or whatever thing.

DIGI or MAXIS
Never hold long term for Msia stocks
cannot play long term in Msia stocks , you will loss money or back to square 1 after many years holding
MSIA & USA is different
Msia dont have competitive advantage
Agree! As I look back, I am happy that I sold all my entire holdings of Maxis at 6.35 even though I should have sold at 6.85. But I was blinded by their dividends until Jibby gave the telcos his ultimate shock treatment. Like Keynes said: "in the long term, we are all dead".
Solid cashflow, ROE 20, good dividend payout ratio of more than 95%, Price to Book Ratio 4.70 (20% discount from the average PB ratio for the past 5 years), what more you want?
Telecommunication business is the MUST own company for you to connect to the future, needless to say, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality and augmented reality (VR/AR), 5G/ 6G.... Mobile Payment, to name few, Touch&Go, GrabPay, ShopeePay, will all potential driver for future growth...
What are you waiting for? Grab it before the share price shooting up to the moon...

This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
