Between Feb 23 and 28, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) mopped up 11.06 million shares in VS Industry Bhd, nudging up its shareholding in the integrated electronics manufacturing services provider to 247.45 million shares, or a 6.43% stake.

The EPF surfaced as a substantial shareholder in VS Industry in early August last year with 191.84 million shares, or a 5.01% stake, and has been consistently acquiring blocks of the company’s shares.

VS Industry’s stock hit a 52-week low of 79 sen apiece on Nov 10 last year, but rebounded close to 30% to the RM1 band in mid-February. Since then, VS Industry’s shares have tapered off, to close last Wednesday at 86 sen, for a market value of RM3.31 billion.

VS today 30/3 @12.00 noon, short-selling stood 1023('00) units, they kept throwing to the buyers @ 0.805, how to rise?
0.825 is only 100 units which is regarded is FAKE breakout.
in the afternoon session, shorties will beat down the price to maybe 0.795 for mother shares and warrants at 0.004?!

there is only two reasons EPF keep buying in this stock.
1. There is strong reason to believe the stock is undervalued.
2. EPF is generally averaging down waiting for it to bounce back

Either way, both reasons requires trust in the company.
they are not cutting loss thats for sure. And with EPF being so strapped now, i believe they did their best to catch the best stocks.

威铖（VS，6963，主板工业股）的股项在上周四宣布业绩前后，吸引投资者注意。威城在上周二业绩宣布两天前，已经价量齐升。

不过，该集团股项在业绩宣布后，在周五表现先盛后衰，并在创下87仙的高位后，全天倒跌1.5仙至闭市时的83仙。该集团的公司凭单威铖WB（VS-WB）则整个星期都在2至3仙范围波动，最终以2.5仙结束上周交易。

威城是一家领先的综合电子制造服务（EMS）供应商，并在大马、中国和印尼设有厂房。该集团在截至2023年4月30日结束的2023财政年首三季的营业额达到34.4亿，比2022财政年同期的29亿上涨约18%。

尽管营业额上升，该集团的净利润从 1.352 亿令吉，下降 12.8% 至 1.178 亿令吉。

该集团在业绩报告表示，盈利下跌是因为电力、劳动力和融资成本增加，以及外汇亏损导致。

展望其前景，威城预计未来一个季度的需求可能会上升。该集团也深信其经验丰富的管理层，良好的业绩记录和稳健的资产负债表，将为公司在面对挑战时提供强力的支持。

VS-WB目前的溢价达到69%，这对一项还有一年就到期的凭单来说是很高的。其高达42.4%的引伸波幅比母股历史波幅高，使得VS-WB理论上也估价昂贵。

不过，由于该凭单价位低，每个价位波幅极大，使得该凭单仍具有投机价值。VS-WB的有效杠杆其实也达到相当高的5.36倍，使得一些投机者仍然愿意搏一搏。
