He is a Chartered Accountant since 1971 and also a member of Malaysian Association of Certified Public Accountants since 1975. He is currently a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He had served in 2 Chartered Accountants Firms in Australia. After returning to Malaysia and serving 1 year in an International Accounting Firm, he joined Pihak Berkuasa Air (PBA) in 1973 as the Head of Account/Finance Department and opted to join Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn. Bhd. as the Chief Accountant upon corporatization on March 1, 1999. He was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of PBA Holdings Bhd. on August 1, 2001 and has retired in the year 2003.
