Bursa Malaysia had implemented the Intraday Short Selling (IDSS) framework for all investors starting April 2018 for certain stocks. Traders can now short sell a stock that he/she did not own, and buy back the stock later within the same day before market close. A robust compliance requirement and safeguards have also been put in place to allow for IDSS trades to take place.
