KUALA LUMPUR (April 27): TT Vision Holdings Bhd's wholly-owned unit TT Vision Technologies Sdn Bhd has secured a purchase order from a major customer for its solar cell inspection equipment.
The contract, worth about RM6.05 million, was awarded by one of the world's largest solar cell manufacturers, said TT Vision, without disclosing the name of the customer.
This is the second order for solar cell inspection equipment received by the Penang-based vision equipment manufacturer this year. In March, the group received orders totalling RM23.6 million, also from a major customer.
The latest order is expected to be fulfilled within three to six months and will make a positive contribution to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2023, TT Vision said in a stock exchange filing.
TT Vision’s share price finished three sen or 2.6% at RM1.19 on Thursday (April 27), translating into a market capitalisation of RM556.92 million. The stock gained 250% versus its initial public offering price of 34 sen.
