Pakatan claims Anwar commands majority support to be PM, seeks audience with Agong

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 — PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has the most number of MPs supporting his candidacy as the next prime minister, Pakatan Harapan (PH) asserted today.
“The Presidential council believes that PH’s candidate, that is Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has received the highest number of nominations from among Members of Parliament based on the process determined by the Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong the other day.
“The Presidential Council believes that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should be given a chance to have an audience with the Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong to prove the confidence of the majority of Members of Parliament towards him,” it said in a statement this afternoon.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong had over the past two days personally conducted interviews with MPs in efforts to resolve a political impasse, where no political coalition currently has the simple majority support or at least 112 MPs’ support to be the federal government.
Going by the PH coalition alone, its support for Anwar as PM candidate means that there are 92 MPs backing him.
The 92 MPs are from PH’s remaining component parties DAP, PKR, Parti Amanah Negara.

Rule of Law, Independent of Judiciary, Independent of press, Freedom of Speech and religion is the universal law that empower every individual regardless of race. IN the end the society wins. They use DAP as a bogeyman to attack. It doesn't matter whether is DAP, PAP or any other party that is not Malay dominant. They will attack and tell lies and lies about every individual. Naive individual believe the narrative that they preach and blame on LGE or LKS. Their principle of running country is base on race and base on Malay as a dominant race in getting government contracts and university entrance. This policy has failed them for 50 years. They are no better than Indonesians, Vietnamese or Thais. They can't beat them in football and work ethics. Private enterprise will hire any race that is productive. Any race that is not productive, private enterprise won't hire. Because Private enterprise has fierce competition among one another regardless of race.

Group suggests East Malaysian leader as PM
10.45am - A group of civil society leaders has suggested that East Malaysia be given the chance to lead the new government.
They say this because peninsular leaders appear to have continuously fought over their own interest.
"It is about time we Malaysians give a chance for East Malaysian leaders who have shown religious and racial tolerance since the formation of Malaysia, and who have set examples of unity in diversity to lead the nation out of the current impasse.
"If Malaysia wants a unity government, let's start from the East. When we signed the Malaysian agreement, we hoped for a just society and fair society and caring leaders who put nation before self. It is now confirmed that the peninsular party leaders are only thinking about themselves.
"It is about time an East Malaysian leader is given the opportunity to lead the country as prime minister," they say.
Among the signatory of the statement include Lim Teck Ghee, Tajuddin Rasdi, Peter John Jaban, Faridah Mohd Fuad Stephens and Ambiga Sreenevasan.

Aiyo sad la to see Anwar not even in nomination and he have to pull out his name and now support Mahathir. Thats how low politician can go. Who know after this Anwar supporting Mohiden instead. Hahahhaha. You never know ma. The game not yet finish. Since now Anwar is outside the race and there is no DAP. If he smart enough, he will go to mohiden and form an alliance and bring as much PKR MP or even Mohiden will approach Anwar for the sake of his own survival on this race. hahahahhha.
