KUALA LUMPUR: Pas information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has "aplogised" for raising questions on the education background of the DAP candidate for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election, Pang Sock Tao.

"I apologise for raising the issue of education levels at the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) for the KKB by-election candidates, indirectly disclosing that the candidates received education in vernacular schools."

"With this apology, I hope the issue will prolong until (the polling day of) the by-election," the Pasir Mas MP wrote on his Facebook account today.

Earlier, Pang Sock put to rest the dispute raised by Fadhli by sharing her UPSR and SPM examination result slips on her Facebook account.

Ahmad Fadhli, however, turned down calls for him to reveal his UPSR and SPM examination results on the grounds he is not contesting in the May 11 by-election.

"There were people who challenged me to reveal my examination result slip. The issue is I am not the one who is contesting in this by-election.

"If I am contesting in an election (in the future), I will reveal all my examinations results from my primary education to tertiary education level.

"That is only if my opponent does the same," he said.
