He graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Manchester (U.K.) in 1958.
Working Experience
-He joined the Lembaga Letrik Negara in 1959 as an engineer. He resigned in 1972 to join Tamco Cutler Hammer as an Electrical Engineer and was subsequently promoted to Works Manager.
-He left Tamco Cutler Hammer in 1975 to form G.H. Liew Engineering Services Sdn Bhd which provides maintenance and testing services in electrical engineering.
-He was the President of the Electrical & Electronic Association of Malaysia (TEEAM) from 1989 to 1993.
-He was also the President of the Asean Federation of Electrical Engineering Contractors from 1987 to 1989.
