Winnie Lau Ming Choo started her career with Ernst & Young, Malaysia as an Audit Assistant in year 1996. She transitioned to the Transaction Advisory Services division, progressing through a series of promotions within the firm over the course of her tenure with the firm. In August 2004, she joined Alliance Investment Bank Berhad (Alliance) as Assistant Vice President in the Capital Markets division,  overseeing corporate advisory services for public listed companies and private companies aspiring to be listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (Bursa Securities) and contributed to Alliance's own corporate exercises. She was promoted to Vice President in April 2012 and left Alliance in September 2012. In October 2012, she joined Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad as Associate Director in the Corporate Finance division where she headed a team of Corporate Finance personnel and was primarily responsible for the provision of advisory services to clients for their various corporate exercises. She was re-designated as Senior Vice President in February 2013 and left the bank in July 2016. 

She joined Mercury Securities Sdn Bhd in the same month as Director in the Corporate Finance division where she headed a team of Corporate Finance personnel and was primarily responsible for the provision of advisory services to clients for their various corporate exercises including initial public offerings. She was re-designated as Co-Head of the Corporate Finance division in March 2023. She has successfully facilitated listing of numerous companies on Bursa Securities throughout her career.In December 2023, she left Mercury Securities Sdn Bhd to start her entrepreneurial journey and founded Winnovate Advisory Sdn Bhd, a company offering advisory, consultancy, and related services, where she currently serves as Managing Director.
