His last appointment in Australia was with the National Australia Financial Management Limited,a subsidiary of National Australia Bank before accepting an appointment as an Associate Director of the National Australia Merchant Bank (Singapore) Limited to promote merchant banking services in the Asia Pacific Region. He left Singapore in 1991 to return to Malaysia holding managerial positions with various financial institutions.
