Dato Nik Mohamed Din Bin Datuk Nik Yusoff ("Dato' Nik") is a lawyer by profession. He read law at Lincolns Inn, London and was admitted to the English Bar in 1968.
Working Experience
Dato' Nik served as a Magistrate for the Malaysian Judicial Services in 1969. Thereafter, he joined private legal practice at Mah, Kok and Din as a lawyer for thirteen (13) years. In 1984, he left legal practice to join the stockbroking business and assumed the position of the Executive Chairman as well as a shareholder of O.S.K. & Partners Sendirian Berhad.
In 1985, Dato Nik was elected Chairman and in 1988 appointed by the Minister of Finance as the first Executive Chairman of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange ("KLSE") (now known as Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad) and he held this position for twelve (12) years. Upon expiry of his third (3rd) term of appointment as Executive Chairman of the KLSE, Dato Nik returned to the OSK group as the Executive Chairman of OSK Holdings Berhad and was thereafter re-designated as Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman on 28 December 2009.
Dato Nik is the Non-Executive Chairman of OSK Holdings Berhad and Jerasia Capital Berhad. He is also a Director of Federation of Public Listed Companies Bhd and a Trustee of Datin Seri Ting Sui Ngit Foundation.
