The late Datuk Seri Tan Jing Nam was appointed to the Board of Tanco Holdings Berhad ("Tanco") on 28 July 1995 and was Tanco's Group Managing Director since 23 October 1995. On 18 March 2015, he was re-designated as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Tanco. On 26 August 2015, he was appointed as Adviser of Tanco. The late Datuk Seri Tan Jing Nam is also a member of the Remuneration Committee of Tanco.
The late Datuk Seri Tan Jing Nam has extensive experience in the property and construction sectors and was the driving force behind the successful development of Bandar Country Homes, a self-contained township in Rawang. Under the leadership of the late Datuk Seri Tan Jing Nam, the Tanco Group had expanded its property development and construction businesses to include vacation clubs and resorts related activities.

The late Datuk Seri Tan Jing Nam is the father of Mr. Andrew Tan Jun Suan, Tanco's Group Managing Director and a major shareholder of
Tanco.
He is also the brother of Dato' Tan Lee Sing, a Director of Tanco.
