He started his career with Sin Heap Lee Construction Sdn Bhd in 1983 as an Engineer and has been involved in the project management of several housing development projects including Taman Universiti Indah, Seri Kembangan, Taman Putra Indah, Seri Kembangan, Bandar Sungai Long, Cheras and construction projects including Institute Kemahiran Belia Negara, Pagoh, Johor. He was promoted as a Senior Project Manager in 1995 and appointed as a Director of several subsidiaries of SHL in 1999.
