He obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Brighton Technical College and a Master of Management from the Asian Institute of Management in 1959 and 1976 respectively. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers United Kingdom, a Fellow of the Institution of Highways and Transportation, United Kingdom, a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia and a Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council, United Kingdom. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Management, a member of the Association of Consulting Engineers, Malaysia and a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Directors.
Working Experience
He started his career as a Civil Engineer with the Public Works Department Malaysia in 1959 and had held various positions at District, State and Branch levels, prior to his appointment as the Director-General of Public Works, Malaysia in December 1985. He retired from the Government in September 1990.
