He obtained a Diploma in Architecture from the Birmingham School of Architecture, Birmingham, England in 1964. He is a senior member of Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia and registered with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia.
Working Experience
He started his career in 1964 as a lecturer in the Department of Architecture, Technical College, Kuala Lumpur. Subsequently, he was appointed as an architect for Shell Malaysia Berhad, responsible for projects in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei from 1966 to 1971. In 1971, he started his own practice, Messrs Arkitek Rakanan and has since been involved in a wide range of development projects from industrial and housing to commercial buildings.
